Why would Mere's mother being ok lead to tragic bangs for Cris? Is this something Mere talked her out of?
kay - I agree - but I believe the what if is also if Richard had left Adele for her - so maybe happy she is a better mom, or maybe Richard was a really good influence - after all he may not be an alcoholic here -though lord knows being married to Ellis WOULD seem like a reason to drink...

meredith looks creepy. this doesn't really make sense- even if her mother didn't have alzheimer's she was still a horrible mother
