Heroes Sneak Peeks: Most. Awkward. Thanksgivings. Ever.

There appers to be a competition next week on Heroes:

Which family can throw the most awkward Thanksgiving dinner?

The first contender is the Bennets, as Noah hosts the holiday and invites his ex-wife and her new lover over. To make matters more uncomfortable, HRG has asked former partner Lauren to help him cook. Watch the clip below to see what unfolds...

Petrelli Thanksgiving

The Bennets will be hard-pressed to top the Petrellis, however. As Angela prepares for a nice meal with Peter and Nathan, she's confronted with the question of whether or not Nathan is actually dead.

While she stammers for a response, perhaps she can answer our Round Table inquiry: aside from filling in the plot, why on earth would Nathan's body have been kept around in a storage unit?

Follow the jump to watch these scene from "Thanksgiving."

90210 Music: "To Thine Own Self Be True"

90210 aired one of its most depressing episodes of the season this week.

That just means its relationships and storylines are affecting viewers in the proper way, however, as any loyal fan would have been saddened by Jackie's passing and Adrianna's renewed drug use.

Poster of 90210 Cast

As the show heads into an off-week, due to Thanksgiving, fans can at least take comfort in its winning soundtrack. Check out the singles heard on last night's episode in our 90210 music section.

  • Saint Motel - "Butch" Saint Motel - ForPlay - Butch
  • A Fine Frenzy - "Electic Twist" A Fine Frenzy - Bomb In a Birdcage (Bonus Track Version) - Electric Twist

NCIS Round Table: "Power Down"

TV Fanatic's review of "Power Down" touched on just how good last night's NCIS was because of the blackout, whereas so many other shows would have fallen short.

Below, our staff members break down the latest episode of TV's #1 show in further detail in an NCIS Round Table discussion. Here's what our panel had to say ...

1. What was your favorite NCIS quote from the episode?

The Barnacle: Tough call! Either Abby's "joke" that she admitted was only funny if you have a PhD in chemistry, or Gibbs' nonchalant "Book 'em, Da-Nozzo" after Tony had been annoying everyone with outdated TV show reference all night.

Dr. Shepherd: I'm going to go with all the NCIS quotes Gibbs does not produce even when he's directly spoken to. This must have happened 5-6 times last night. Gibbs is a man who does not utter a word unless he deems it directly necessary for survival.

M.L. House: Ducky saying he "let the staff use 107." Gibbs' reaction said it all.

2. The blackout as a plot device: gimmick or genius?

M.L. House: Genius. I loved Mark Harmon and David McCallum unflinchingly carrying about their business as their older characters would, and watching the younger kids all scramble.

Dr. Shepherd: Great stuff. Fitting that creator Donald Bellisario (of Magnum P.I. fame) would re-integrate the old school element (and humor) to today's most bad-ass crime fighters.

The Barnacle: A little gimmicky. How realistic is it that it would stay out that long? I know I'm being a little nit-picky and it did lead to some great exchanges, but it felt a little forced.

Sam Daly to Recur on The Office

A family feud is coming to Thursday nights!

While Tim Daly stars on Private Practice, his son has just signed on for a recurring role on The Office.

Sam Daly debut on the December 10 episode of the NBC sitcom. He'll appear as Oscar’s new, younger boyfriend.

“He looks like Tim, except he has blonde hair,” said Oscar Martinez (Oscar) “He’s six foot tall and really nice.”

While nothing has been confirmed yet, Daly will likely appear on multiple episodes.

Martinez told TV Guide Magazine that it may take awhile before Oscar’s co-workers discover he's gone all cougar on them.

“I’m not sure if people at the office are going to find out about this right away," he said.

Darius McCrary Cast on The Young and the Restless

We have bad news and good news for fans of The Young and the Restless:

Too busy on Criminal Minds, Shemar Moore will not be reprising the role of Malcolm Winters.

But the character is making a comeback on the top-rated soap opera, as Entertainment Weekly reports Darius McCrary has signed on for the role.

Darius McCrary

Best known as Eddie Winslow from long-running ABC sitcom Family Matters, McCrary debuts on December 29.

“We are thrilled to have the character of Malcolm back on Y&R,” said Maria Bell, the drama’s co-executive producer/head writer, in a statement. “Malcolm, Neil Winters’ brother, has always been a catalyst to exciting stories. He’s coming back to town to see his brother and to reunite with his biological daughter, Lily Winters, as she fights for her life. Malcolm is a photographer... someone who lives on the edge and who always pushes the envelope.”

V Review: "A Bright New Day"

Wake up, America! The next, great, suspense-filled mystery drama is not FlashForward. It's V.

For the third week in a row, the series delivered an exciting hour of television, complete with intrigue, double crosses, surprising reveals and a never-aging Scott Wolf.

Follow the proceeding link to get caught up on the episode "A Bright New Day" and read our review below to find out why we like this show so much...

Actual chill moments: Few dramas can pull off true shocks anymore. There are too many spoilers, too much poor writing. But we audibly gasped last night when the Visitor treating Dale turned out to be part of The Fifth Column. We didn't see that coming.

Marcus

Great acting: Elizabeth Mitchell, Scott Wolf, newcomer Morena Baccarin as Anna. Just three episodes in, all these stars already inhabit their roles completely. We've almost forgotten that Mitchell was ever on Lost.

Relevant, debate-filled storylines: V deals with issues of faith in a confusing world; terrorism; political leaders and the hope they offer. Beyond mere intrigue over what will happen next, viewers can debate the meaning behind various characters and plots and relate them to real world issues.

Following this week's new episode, we're left with the following questions:

  • What does it mean for a Visitor to be connected, as Cyrus and Ryan discussed? How does one become disconnected?
  • Who is John May? Was he the aforementioned Visitor turncoat?
  • What exactly happened to Georgie's family?
  • What do Lisa and Anna have planned for Tyler?
  • How incredibly hot was Lisa in her lingerie?
  • Is Dale really gone for good?

Chime in now with your thoughts on this questions and on the show in general. Are you as fascinated by it as we are?

The Hills and The City Recaps: November 17

You can admit it. It's okay. We watch The Hills and The City too. And we don't always hate it. That's what guilty pleasures are all about, and MTV's Tuesday pair is as addictive as it gets.

So, because we know at least 13 of you want to know ...

  • On The Hills, Kristin and Jayde squared off again over Brody. You'll be surprised who he decided he wanted to work things out with. Also, Speidi was actually boring. Read more about "Can't Always Get What You Want" in our The Hills recap!
  • On The City, Whitney and Roxy had boy problems, while Olivia and Erin came one step closer to murdering each other. What happened on Whit's blind date that you won't believe? For more on "Forget About Boys," here's our The City recap!

Damon Lindelof Teases Final Season of Lost

In a new interview with TV Guide Magazine, producer Damon Lindelof opens up about the final season of Lost.

Does he give away any spoilers? Of course not.

But until the most layered, mesmerizing show on television returns in January, this is the best we'll get. Here's what Lindelof had to say:

On season six: "All I can say is that we've spent the last five years answering the question 'Were you guys making it up as you go along? Do you know what you're doing?' It's a great comfort to know that in about six months people will stop asking us that question. They'll basically say 'You were making it up it as you went along;' Or they'll go 'Wow, you really had a plan.'"

Season Five Finale Picture

On a definitive conclusion: "There will not be a cut to black. It is not all in the dog's brain. I think the one thing that we're saying is that we're not leaving things open for a Lost movie. We are conclusively ending the story that we started... The whole reason that we asked for an end date was so that we could end it. That's what we're going to do."

On returning cast members: "I've heard rumors that Ian Somerhalder is coming back even though he's working on The Vampire Diaries. I've heard Dominic Monaghan is coming back... I do think it's safe to say that that final season of the show in a lot of ways is a curtain call for all the actors who kind of made these iconic performances and we're hoping that a lot of them come back for one final appearance."

NCIS Unplugged: "Power Down" Review

NCIS tried something in last night's episode, "Power Down," that might sound hokey if you're just reading it here, or have never seen the show. But the entertaining characters, sharp dialogue and lightning-quick plot development somehow make it work.

A city-wide blackout.

It was a new wrinkle that made the episode from beginning to end, and instead of coming off like a lame stunt because the writers ran out of ideas, the power outage was the opposite, seamlessly integrated into the case and the agents trying to crack it.

After D.C. was plunged into darkness for a matter of days, Gibbs and his crew attempted to investigate an apparent cyber-attack-turned-murder without the usual bells and whistles.

Older viewers, especially those with law enforcement backgrounds, may remember these days well. But for a younger audience, it begged the question: How do forensic experts, medical examiners and investigators do their jobs in this situation?

Literally working in the dark, the gang scrambled to cope with their lack of technology. Except for Gibbs, a man of few words, and certainly one unmoved by his agents' plight. There's nothing he can't handle, old school style, as he later proved.

McGee

McGee was a fish out of water without his computer - but he came through.

McGee, the ultimate computer geek, suffered paper cuts (and obligatory ribbing from Tony) sifting through files by hand. Tony made references to old cop shows. Abby proved her resourcefulness (despite a lack of Caf-Pow) and Ducky ... well, Ducky had power.

The basement had generators. Bodies, after all. Could get ugly.

One of the funnier moments of the night came when he revealed he let the staff "use 107" as a fridge with the power out upstairs. Gibbs, in typical fashion, stared in disbelief.

As they investigated the breakin at a local Internet provider, Gibbs (Polaroid in hand) figured out one of the servers had been switched out, and the case was not as it seemed.

A Naval officer who was killed on site at first seemed to be complicit in the breakin and the subsequent security breach. But it turned out she was working undercover throughout.

She made sure her death would be investigated and the true perpetrators outed. While the final 15 minutes unfolded almost too quickly, it was a terrific hour of television.

Even makes us wish they'd keep the power out one more week.
