Dancing with the Stars Elimination: Joanna Krupa

Despite her second-place showing on Monday night's performance show, Joanna Krupa was sent home from Dancing with the Stars this week.

The gorgeous model handled her elimination a lot better than the TV Fanatic staff did.

"It's been such an amazing experience and I've grown as a person," sahe said. "Thank you to the judges. Thank you for giving me the opportunity. I had a great partner."

Krupa's elimination leaves Mya, Donny Osmond and Kelly Osbourne remaining for next week's two-part, threeway finale.

Who do you think will win? Who do you wanna see win? Chime in now, as we bury our heads in mourning over America's mistake in sending this beauty home.

Amanda Woodward Returns, Wreaks Havoc: Melrose Review of "Caheunga"

When I hired you to give this place a makeover, I didn't mean smear it with lipstick and turn it into a five-dollar hooker.

With those words, followed by the firing of Caleb, Amanda Woodward returned to Melrose Place this week.

To the show's credit, she fit right in, as The CW had clearly been hoping all along that Heather Locklear would be unable to resist the allure of bad dialogue, cleavage-baring dresses and sex-driven intrigue.

As "Caheunga," proved Amanda hasn't lost her ability to manipulate, cajole or look beautiful. But the episode also concluded with a hint that this vixen's life is not nearly as perfect as it seems.

Amanda Woodward Photo

We've updated our Melrose Place music section with singles from this episode.

Not since Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense has a dead person continued to affect so many lives, long after his/her passing. Sydney didn't just leave a mysterious note for Amanda this week, she also drove Auggie to nearly fall off the wagon. Instead, he was stuck with an even worse fate: a sex scene with Ashlee Simpson's Violet.

While we know what the future holds for those two characters, it's uncertain where the show is going with Lauren and David. She truly does seem to bring the romantic side out of this hustler, but can she reveal to him her secret life as a call girl?

Not yet. Good call there, Lauren.

Riley and Jonah continue to bring the show down, however. It doesn't help that their storylines don't always make sense. Wouldn't Riley have signed a contract stating her $10,000 salary prior to her photo shoot? There's no legal way this payment can be withheld because she refused to go along with a lie weeks after the deal.

Also, what happened to Jenna Dewan's Kendra? Didn't Jonah tell Riley he was gonna continue to work with her? She was hot and she offered the possibility of an actual affair, something dirty the show's boring couple needs in order to make us care about them.

Overall, this was a solid showcase for Amanda and we have high hopes for her future on the show. Do you agree? Were you giddy to see TV's biggest bitch back where she belongs?

Check out a few of our favorite Melrose Place quotes from the hour:

Riley: I am burning all of these.
Jonah: Recycle. It's better for the environment. | permalink
Lauren: We can wait until after dinner to have you arrested. | permalink
Riley: The worst thing would be letting your life pass you on and seeing it take your soulmate with you. | permalink
Auggie: I'm not a murderer. I didn't kill Sydney. | permalink
Riley: This whole night is just one big superficial fantasy. | permalink

Sons of Anarchy Review: "Service"

It was a touching Sons of Anarchy all around, with old friends reuniting, fathers and sons patching things up, and husbands and wives remembering their old spark.

The latest episode - which we've recapped in detail - saw SAMCRO start to patch things up. Now, they are all on the same page and focused on one goal: revenge. Ethan Zobelle's days must be numbered. Read below for a full review of "Service."

What Worked: Gemma's Guns
With an assault on Zobelle likely and their gun pipeline shut down, the crew turns to their personal stashes for weapons. When Tig tells Gemma this, she simply replies, "I'll get mine" and heads to her world famous hat boxes full of pistols.

What Didn't: Prospect's Nuts
Perhaps he was better off as One-Nut. It turns out that the Prospect's testicle implant is not going well. In fact, it's so bad that he drops his pants in front of Tara to show the good doctor his swollen, infected region. Unfortunately, Bobby, Clay and Tig all walk in at that very moment, leading Bobby to remark that Prospect's package looks like "elephant nuts". Tig, not nearly as witty, simply vomits at the sight.

Sorrow for Morrow

What Really Worked: Piney: Husband and Father
Piney's presumed goodbye to Mary was as touching as the old man can be. He told her that with all his drinking and womanizing, he was never a good husband or father, and that Opie's mistakes are his fault. He tells her to help Opie out and then gives her a soft, gentle goodbye kiss.

What Really Didn't: Tig: Relationship Guru
Perhaps if it wasn't Tig giving the advice, and perhaps if Tig hadn't been about to seal the deal with Gemma earlier in the episode, the advice he gave to Clay would have worked. But something about slimy Tig telling Clay that Gemma needs to know that he still wants her felt wrong. Even though the advice worked and Clay and Gemma patched things up. Still, creepy.

90210 Review: "To Thine Own Self Be True"

What a depressing episode of 90210!

We don't mean that in a negative sense, it was just an hour filled with somber events and distressing developments. Read more about "To Thine Own Self Be True" in our detailed recap.

Let's review the episode via a series of questions, all of which we encourage readers to respond to in the comments section or in our 90210 forum...

  • Do you feel bad for Jen? No! So what if she shed a few tears and was honest for a change. She's lied and manipulated far too often to get off the hook after a few waterworks.
  • Where is this Jasper storyline going? Is it possible the show only used the dead uncle as a means to getting Jasper and Annie together? It would feel like a letdown, if so. Still, it's possible Jasper is still using Annie and will eventually turn on her.
  • How many buckets of tears did you shed over Jackie's death? We are too proud to answer that, but it was definitely less than six!
  • Do you wanna see Liam and Naomi get back together? Yes! The show has done a nice job of pacing this relationship. It feels like we're getting close to the right time for a reconciliation.

Poor Kelly

Check out a few of our favorite 90210 cast quotes below...

Ryan: I would never cheat on you.
Jen: Honestly?
Ryan: Honestly. | permalink
Debbie: Jasper is odd.
Annie: You don't even know him. | permalink
Liam: If I could take back what happened last year, I would. I think about it every single day. | permalink
Naomi: Watching that movie on industrial meat production just gave me a craving for Kobe sliders. | permalink

Will Arnett to Guest Star on Parks and Recreation

No offense, Justin Theroux. But this is the most exciting Parks and Recreation casting news of the day:

Amy Poehler's real-life, hilarious husband - Will Arnett - will guest star on a January episode of the sitcom.

Arnett has a recurring role as Jack's nemesis on 30 Rock, but he's best known as Gob from Arrested Development, one of the funniest characters in the history of TV.

Will Arnett

According to NBC, via E! News, Arnett will portray a "MRI tech" in Pawnee. That's all we know about the role for now. Except for this:

It's sure to be hilarious.

Dexter Sneak Peeks: "Hungry Man"

Thanksgiving arrives a few days early this Sunday, as various Dexter characters celebrate in various ways.

Angel and Laguerta are stuck in the office during the holiday, though neither seems to mind.

Rita, meanwhile, is hosting the big dinner - but is doing so without Dexter (but with Elliot!) in the second clip below.

As for our favorite mass murderer? He's not featured in either of these scenes. That doesn't bode well for his marriage, or for the Trinity Killer...

Heroes Round Table: Plot Holes Galore!

As our review of "Brother's Keeper" outlined, we didn't hate this week's episode of Heroes. That's a big step for a critical TV Fanatic panel of critics!

But we wouldn't be doing our jobs if we didn't point out that the episode was still overflowing with plot holes and nonsensical character developments.

We focus on those in this edition of the Round Table and, as always, we encourage reader feedback...

Why did Tracy lose control of her abilities?
M.L. House: This really made no sense. She claimed it was due to "panic attacks." But she was held in by Danko last year, she's been faced with far more stressful situation than just... sitting around. The only answer to this question is: because the script called for it.

Dr. Shepherd: So the show could break its budget by making Claire freeze and crack.

The Barnacle: Who cares? Did you see Ali Larter in that bathtub?!?

Heroes RT

Why on earth would Nathan's body still be around?
M.L. House: This made even less sense! For someone that's organized many cover-ups, why would Angela not dispose of Nathan's body as soon as possible?!? Once again, the only answer to this question is: because the script called for it.

Dr. Shepherd: I have no idea.

The Barnacle: To move the plot along. D'uh! The writers likely thought of this storyline two days ago. Give them a break!

Brothers & Sisters Preview: "Pregnant Pause"

There's no new Brothers & Sisters this week, but when the show returns a week from Sunday (November 30) it sure looks like the drama will make up for lost time.

In ABC's promo for the episode, Rebecca mulls what to do about her pregnancy (a continuation of what we saw in "The Wine Festival"), namely how to tell Justin.

We suspect the truth will come out at dinner in typical Walker fashion. Awkward! Meanwhile, Nora and her younger man get hot and heavy. Even more awkward!

As for what happens to the company - and Holly, financially - after Ryan sabotaged the new wine, that remains to be seen. We hope that little punk gets his, though.

Here's a preview of the upcoming episode, entitled "Pregnant Pause" ...

Vampire Diaries Sneak Peeks: "The Turning Point"

Vampire Diaries spoiler alert: Damon and Stefan are not leaving the show!

While most fans never thought they actually would, last week's installment did conclude with the sexy siblings both claiming they were through with Mystic Falls.

Each plays a vital role on Thursday's new episode, however, intriguingly titled "The Turning Point." First, Damon gets a visit from Sheriff Forbes, as seen in the clip below:

The Turning Point Clip

From there, Stefan tries to explain to Elena why he can't ever remain in one place for very long. But she doesn't wanna hear it.

Sadly, this is the final new episode until January 14. But fans can at least catch up with a marathon on The CW in December.

Ty Burrell Previews Benjamin Bratt on Modern Family

While it's difficult to choose the funniest Modern Family cast member, we'd go with Ty Burrell through the sitcom's first few episodes.

Everything Phil says and does cracks us up.

As Phil

Asked by E! News about upcoming guest star Benjamin Bratt's role as as Manny's father, Javier, Burrell said:

"Javier is playing irresponsible, and they all have their tête-à-tête about it, but you don't leave thinking anybody is a bad guy. We start to actually like Javier a little bit, and I think he'll probably be recurring."

More Benjamin Bratt? That works for us.

So does more Modern Family. It returns, after a week off, tomorrow night!
