How to Make It in America Review: "Big in Japan"

Last night on How to Make It in America, the guys got their chance to make It happen - but what happened with their jean sample?

The sample they were eagerly waiting to get, turned out to be one of the weirdest pair of jeans we've ever seen! It was kind of hilarious to see Ben try them on.

Why were they so high waisted?

Picture of Ben

"Big in Japan" kept us guessing what would come from this meeting with the investor. Who knew that Ben's shirt would be such a hit? How will they be able to mass produce 300 of them in less than two weeks?

Finally Rene was back in the picture this week. We love his character! Why on earth would he have anyone keep a package of one hundred grand for him? Seriously, that was just stupid planning on his part.

The more we get to know Rachel the better we like her. Who would have thought she would be down with doing ecstasy? Not that we are advocates for drugs - (never done ecstasy in our lives)  but we pegged Rachel to be more of a square (like us).

Who would have ever guessed Daren would be down to make-out with another man? We've heard stories about people on ecstasy and the crazy stuff that you get into, but homosexual escapades? This was not something we saw coming! And by the look Rachel gave Daren, she didn't either!

Overall, we are loving this new hit show! The main characters are great and we love tuning in each week to see how our duo will make It! What did you guys think of last night's episode?

Until next week, we leave you with a few of our favorite How to Make It in America quotes after the jump!

Brothers & Sisters Review: "FreeLuc.com"

On every episode of Brothers & Sisters, there are family complications. Bumps in the road. Twists when you least expect them. Questions answered and left unanswered.

Last night exemplified all of these familiar themes as Luc's visa drama became a political hot potato and the stakes grew higher in the mystery of York and the Walkers.

Follow this link for a recap of "FreeLuc.com," then read TVF's review below ...

VISA: It's everywhere you want to be ... or something. Too bad Luc can't be where he wants to be because his is expiring. Wasn't Sarah going to marry him? Anyway.

Just as soon as Kevin puts in a call to an immigration lawyer at his old firm, protesters arrive at Kitty's campaign event. One sign reads "Frenchie Go Home!" Really?

Luc produces a letter from INS and proclaims he is legal now. However it happened, it's being tied to Kitty and Robert as some kind of political arm-twisting scandal.

Luc and Sarah Picture

Is Luc becoming more trouble than he's worth for the Walkers?

Swarmed by media after returning from a jog, Sarah goes off on them before walking back into the house. Kitty is livid and we're all wondering what the heck is going on.

It's a classic political scandal in the 24-hour news era, in other words.

This was already getting good but then Luc, having already become a political liability, dropped the real bomb: That rumor that he used to work in a French brothel is true!

Guess Gilles Marini wasn't kidding when he teased trouble for Luc, who confides that the gossip is technically correct. His uncle owned a brothel and he used to work there.

Not "work" there, but work there. You know, doing errands and stuff.

Robert tells Kitty that Luc's visa has been revoked and they decide to do interviews the next day to defend themselves. At LAX, Sarah and Luc are ready to say goodbye.

Luc decided to leave ... until Kevin stops him at the last second!!

Glee Spoilers Galore: Cast Dishes on Puck & Rachel, Kurt's New Boyfriend, Lady Gaga Tribute & More

The stars and producers of Glee appeared this weekend at the Paley Festival in Beverly Hills, where they screened the 14th episode of the season, "Hello," set to air April 13.

Let's just say the scoop gleaned from the Glee cast and producers at the event was off the hook. Can you say Lady Gaga, Neil Patrick Harris and major romance heating up?

Below are some comments from the cast and previews of things to come ...

Forget Team Finn or Team Puck: How about Team Jesse?! Jonathan Groff's character, who is first seen singing Lionel Richie's "Hello" with Rachel (Lea Michele) is fantastic.

Puck and Rachel: Says Ryan Murphy, "Yes, they will get back together. But the thing about Puck is he's a bad boy so he has an affair with almost every girl on the show."

Lady Gaga Is coming: "We're doing an episode that's a tribute to theatricality," Murphy said. We reached out to Lady Gaga and she said, 'Yes, I'd love to be a part of it.'"

Coldplay and Bryan Adams are not: They nixed having their songs covered!

Ryan Murphy on Madonna: "I admire her greatly and I'm friends with her a little bit socially. I called her up and  said we want to write up a tribute to you and she cooperated in every way possible. We do 10 songs altogether. Jane is going to do 'Vogue.'"

No mohawk here: "Puck is trying out a new look," Murphy says. Intriguing.

Is Love in the Air at NCIS?

Always a humorous fellow, NCIS star Michael Weatherly spoke at the Paley Television Festival event earlier this month about - what else - his character Tony and Ziva (Cote de Pablo).

In addition to renaming that pairing (it's "Zony" not "Tiva," according to Michael), but the affable actor also dropped some knowledge - three key rules for any successful TV program.

The good news? He's hilarious. The bad news, at least if you want more than the status quo from Tiva/Zony? You're probably not going to be fully satisfied with them anytime soon.

Check out Michael Weatherly's interview below:

NBC Has "Some Interest" in Acquiring 24

Might Jack Bauer stick around to save the world for another day?

According to Michael Ausiello, 20th Century Fox has approached NBC about picking up 24 if rumors about Fox's cancellation of it come true.

“There’s definitely some interest,” said an insider close to the talks.

Jack Bauer Picture

Due to dwindling ratings and high production costs, reports circulated this week that the studio and Fox are inching toward a decision to end the series after eight seasons. A 24 movie would follow, if that's the case, but this would be delayed if NBC picks up the show.

Reps for 20th and NBC declined to comment. Our take on the NBC rumor?

We've been on board from day one, but it's time to let 24 die. Storylines are recycled and the series has become a parody of itself at this point. It's really not worth reviving. In other words:

Makes perfect sense NBC would be interested.

Tom Westman Sounds Off on Survivor Elimination

First, the Heroes tribe lost a castaway (James) to injury on Survivor this week.

Then, the tribe lost its mind!

In an exit interview with Entertainment Weekly, eliminated contestant Tom Westman sounded off on what went down. Check out a few excerpts below...

On being sent home instead of James: I think if James had gotten his head cut off in that challenge they would have brought his head along in a bowling bag and had him vote against me. And that was frustrating actually having to defend myself that I was more of a physical value to the team than the guy who had been sent back into the game wearing a brace.

Tom on Survivor

On Rupert: I needed him to make the move, which I think would have redeemed him in a lot of people’s eyes. You know, America loved that guy, and I think he let himself down big this time... I really believe that it [he] was selfish: get rid of anybody that might get more camera time than me situation, and that was Rupert’s motive in the beginning.

On the atmosphere: Socially, it was pretty abysmal out there. Thank God Colby was out there so that you had one good guy you could talk with about something besides their previous season. Some of these people, if they weren’t talking about what they did in Pearl Islands or what somebody said in Tocantins, there really wasn’t much to talk to these people about.

On Boston Rob: I’m loving watching him this season. It’s just been a great ride, and single-handedly he’s just thumping us out there with those puzzles.

American Idol Exit Interview: Katelyn Epperly

It was a results show filled with tears and true emotion, as many viewers were stunned by the elimination of American Idol contestants Alex Lambert, Katelyn Epperly and Lilly Scott this week.

Based on an interview Epperly gave to Entertainment Weekly, the curly-haired blonde is handling the news better than many of her fans and fellow semifinalists. A few excerpts from it:

How is she feeling? Ten times better than I thought I would. I was a little skeptical my whole life about trying out for this show. I was always urged to do it, but I always thought it was a little too mainstream for the kind of music I like to write... I’m not upset, just motivated to go out and do more.

Katelyn Epperly Performance

Was she surprised by her elimination? I was surprised, I guess based on what I’ve delivered so far. I don’t think I’ve done anything that America tends to think is spectacular. But this is where I fall short with this audience. People, a lot of the time, want to hear super, epic, crazy notes and that’s not my style at all.

Any regrets? My only regret is to not get so caught up in the logistics of everything. I got really caught up in cameras. I have a very good sense of who I am, not in a cocky way. I know who I am as a person and artist. I think that this show was kind of so out of element that if felt at times that I was molding myself to be something I wasn’t during interviews, performances.

The Ghost Whisperer Review: "Old Sins Cast Long Shadows"

Last night on The Ghost Whisperer, besides ghosts, Melinda had plenty to deal with!

For one, Delia wasn't too thrilled that only after a short time her son Ned was hurt again because of Melinda's ghosts encounters.

Ghost Whisperer Pic

Melinda had to choose between helping the innocent or letting go to protect her friends and family and Melinda wouldn't be Melinda if she didn't help the innocent ghosts. That's just what she does. We were kind of torn here, and could see where Delia was coming from.  She almost blew up because she is friends with Melinda last week and who knows why Bedford demanded Ned to be the one to bring the book of changes?

"Old Sins Cast Long Shadows" had us spooked out of our minds!

That old ghost lady Greta was super creepy. Why was she the gatekeeper for the Shadows? Why did she prey on all the innocent children? We learned that the Shadows want the ghost children, but why? Is it for their innocence? Why are they such a hot commodity?

Melinda did find out that the Shadows multiplied by preying on the weakness of the ghost's guilt. But what is the purpose of this?

It was interesting that the raven played such a huge role in being almost the mascot for the Shadows. But why? At the end, when Greta was long gone, the raven brought back another innocent ghost to the house. The raven must play a larger role then what we know of so far. We have an eerie feeling that this is not the last we see of this scary bird.

We were surprised that Delia came to the rescue at the ending. At first, we thought that all the lights where the Shinings, but it was nice to see that Delia knew that she and Ned were already too involved to just walk away and leave Melinda helpless.

Bedford was surprisingly absent this week. We were looking forward to seeing his ghost creeping around and spooking us, I guess we just have to wait until next week!

Until then, we leave you with a few of our favorite The Ghost Whisperer quotes after the jump!
