Hey, look at the AI FAQ. Actually, voting for American Idol was not one vote per voter but as many times as you can dial the phone number or text plus a 50 vote limit via computer. I voted 575 times by phone and 50x online for Jessica. My friend voted for her more than 100 times by cell phone. Still, Phillip won! What does that say? It means several Phillip's voters voted more times than I and my friend did. Now, nobody but nobody can determine how many people really voted for Jessica or Phillip. More, yes, more people who decided Jessica was the winner may have voted but with less phone calls or texts to vote for her, yes, more than the people who were for Phillip who nevertheless phoned in more and more times for Phillip than Jessica's backers for Jessica. Popularity is determined by the number of people, not how many times they called in or texted their votes. I agree. Jessica sang two songs better than Phillips ("Home") in the Finale.
Throughout the American Idol season, Jessica did much,much better than Phillips. During last night musicale before Ryan announced the result, Phillip sang his duet poorly, you could hardly hear his voice, compared to the standing ovation to Jessica's duet with Jennifer Holliday. It shows that AI is a farce! Although Phillip has admirers, Jessica has more as shown by Twitters and polls including the poll here. Those praising Phillip's win are his admirers. But they are outnumbered by Jessica's admirers. Throughout the world, Jessica is the star! Her oncoming successful singing career, like Jennifer Hudson's, will prove the Phillip supporters wrong. Throughout the world, American Idol has become another laughing stock, not being able to distinguish between the good singer and poor singer.

I can't understand how Jessica lost! From day one to Finale (2 songs for Jessica to only 1 song (Home) for Phillip), Jessica outperformed, outshone, and beat Phillip. Jessica had more standing ovations than Phillip. I replayed Phillip singing "Home". The song sounded like an old ballad, nothing new, but it was monotonous and the sound was repetitively boring. Only the marching band made it look great. But Phillip was a little more than a whisper in singing it. Joshua, Deandre or even Heejun sang better than Phillip. Bottom line, when the 3 judges, especially, Randy, acclaimed Phillip after his song Home,and given the boring song and the poorly performing singer, then the conclusion is apparent: the 3 judges appeared DISHONEST! Fox News Poll after the AI showed that Jessica (60%) should have been the winner and Phillip (40) the loser. The LA Times poll today showed overwhelmingly (60%-40%) that Jessica was robbed! My wife vowed not to watch the next American Idols anymore. More and more

I too feel that the judges set her up to loose. In particular J-Lo who is going thru a second childhood. Consider her current boy toy and her infatuation with Deandree which she had to shift to Phillip once Deandre was gone. She has become a mirror image of all the teen wgwg followers. She needs to remember her roll is to judge singing talent and not keep raving about how cute the guy is. Namely try to set an example to the teenies that this a singing talent show and not a beauty contest. If she cant be objective she should quit judging singing contests. One girl above said the judging was fair because she voted over 100 times. What ever happened to one person one vote. Oh yes I forgot that you can't have fair voting because the phone companies are pushing for phone sales. It is all about money in the phone companies files. Those that are saying this is fixed are wrong. If you look at the most recent winners, three of the last five have been the same thing as Phillip, and all three have failed to maintain popularity, heck one sold less than 150k of his first album. The last think AI wanted was a repeat.

I'm a very big fan of AI and I never miss it since it started with Simon in America but I just can't believe the results of this year's season 11 of AI. I think that there are three reasons why Phillip won: (a)the predominantly 'white' population/factor, (b)the female hormones (lol), and (c)the song selections in the finale. Those in category (a) might not be ready to accept a 'colored AI' with Asian-Latino background yet and therefore opted for the white Phillip. Those in (b) for sure liked Phillip due mainly of his looks of typical American guy with blue eyes and white skin color. "Oh he's so cute, I will vote for him!" (LOL) without thinking that AI is a 'talent and vocal' competition and not based on looks. Lastly, the (c) is very obvious, no need to analyze it: Jessica's performance and accompaignment wasn't that good compared to Phillip's with marching bands. You people are unbelievable. Philip deserved to win as well as jessica. it was america who voted and you people who think that the voting is rigged should be ashamed of yourselves because i voted for Philip 128 times Tuesday night. i like the way he sings, and i like the way she sings. it all comes down to which one was liked more, and because Philip had the female vote, he won hands down.

I would like to congratulate phillip phillips for winning the american idol season 11 crown. he truly deserves it. consider these, he's never been in bottom 3 throughout the contest. jessica sanchez? i think her singing is quite hard to look at; seems so difficult for her. She could have been out previously if not for the judges saving her. That's the reason why phillip phillips prevailed because he is really good!!!!!

Sadly it was so blatant that the judges were pushing last night for someone who not only wasn't good: but may not be able to perform due to his medical problems.

If AI doesn't stop this voting BS: they are going to lose a huge market share, because 2nd place is produced by a record company that lasts,and American Idol pays for all the training and advertising. and American Idol is stuck with "Rueben?" I don't even know where he is today, but I sure know where Aiken is! He got his break and moved on without a controlling contract from American Idol for a year.

I believed the votes for Jessica were not considered...it was just a bluff and we knew the people behind the american idols made this decision...it's their words against the spectacular performance of Jessica Sanchez. She already proved to the whole world that she's considered as professional singer and she did great with her duet with Jennifer Holiday! This is not a comment or critics against Phillip,...its the people behind this idol...they used Jessica Sanchez to buy their ratings. They made it looks like there's a real competition, but the truth is...Jessica was the "GLOBAL IDOL" and MegaStar!

Jessica has very strong vocal , unfortunately I feel her voice is very "hard" and with a little training from the prof she will learn to soften that hard part and she is ready for the big career. I was hoping Joshua & Philip would be top 2. Joshua will do very well and as for Philip I think he is flawless, he shows a completely different kind of artist something different from all others. Only set back i feel he is too shy to cope with the industry , not a outspoken person he seems , may affect his career.

I really want jessica to win from the very first time i heard her singing..... she have a nice voice and all .. and now.. you know, its pretty disappointing because she didn't win....i dont want to hate philip for this....maybe if we all talked about ability.. id rather go for jessica rather than philip... she have amazing voice that can pull your heart's out.... philip was not that bad either but when i heard them both sang... jessica was the best... im not biased ...im just telling the truth.. anyway in my own point of view philip was all fancy to attract all girls attention.... jessica really deserves the title more than him....philip was good but jessica was the best....
