ANYTHING would be better than re-casting. I can't imagine a single fan of the show (or anyone, for that matter) would want to see someone else play the role; that would be way too strange. As someone else posted, the best thing would be to have him somewhere else for the first few episodes and then have Finn die. I think it would be appropriate to have him die in the same way as Cory, as a teaching tool for the many young viewers.
They should turn this tragedy into a lesson for the young viewers of the show. They should kill off Finn in the same way Cory died. His experience in the army and everything that happened afterwards turned him to drugs and he ODed. I think it should be discussed with his family and done if the approve.
I think they should say something happened to him and have a funeral for the fans and a tribute from the cast.Like most have said don't think it would work to recast...no one would ever be able to take his place and would beawkward for Lea and the rest of the cast. End his storyline in a memoral and respectful way. Still can't believe such ayoung and talented person is gone too soon. Love, prayers, and respect for his family, friends, and fans. He trulywill be greatly missed.
i think they should say he passed away using him in one of his character roles. he was supposedly in the service and say that he was hurt and will not be coming home. please don't recast him becuz there is only one Finn and corey filled that part very well. My prayers go out to his family and to all his co cast members.
Cory will be sadly missed and i don't think they should kill off the character Finn.I think they also shouldn't recast him because there is know one who can sing , act or dance as good as him.
'Kill off' is to harsh a phrase, but I think it would be the most honest, genuine and poignant way to conclude Finn Hudson's character. Give him a hero's send off as a tribute to Finn on the show and Cory in real life, both who struggled and shined in their own realities.
I think either of the first 2 would be good. You can't recast. That would be too awkward.
Glee isn't going to be the same without Cory. Bottom line Cory's character Finn is irreplaceable. There will only ever be one Finn Hudson. He will be deeply missed. My heart goes out to Lea, the cast of Glee and his Family. A great lost but forever remembered
Cory will be missed. I loved him and Rachael together and was hoping for them to get back together in the up coming season. As far as what to vote for is hard to do but I will give it shot. I say don't recast him because his character would be hard to recast. I'm thinking more on the lines of saying that Finn had took up a summer job or had decided to try the service one more time and then a few episodes into the season, they could show Mr. Morrison or his mother getting a phone call saying that Finn was in a very bad accident. Well you all get my idea. I just don't think I would want to turn on the first episode of the season and being hit with the news of his passing just yet.
He should be killed off. More closure to the role. I didn't watch this last season, but I know he had been in the service. Maybe he either re-ups or is still in, but could be sent overseas where he is killed in action. A heros tribute to a much loved character.
