True Blood Season Finale Review: Some Deaths, Lots of Dialogue (9/12/2011)
@ Matt - you sound like my English lit teachers asking for more specifics and originality (groan)....that being said, here goes... It's television entertainment, not a work of literature, and the writers are going to try to please a wide audience, so not everyone is going to be pleased. While I agree that it was in a few ways the most disappointing season thus far, in most others it was the best yet. I thought the Sookie/Bill/Eric story line came off hokey, they should have tried to stick closer to Charlaine Harris' story line, it was MUCH better. The whole book series is centered around Sookie to begin with, and not only was she not featured nearly as much this season, but the whole threesome thing and the corny lines she got was the biggest letdown of all. I was also disappointed that Alfre Woodard was not brought back as Lafayette's mother this season and that Jason was not turned by the werepanthers. I was looking forward to that. The rest I have no complaint about. If I tried to list all the things that I DID like about this season, it would take pages and pages, so I'll just say this: Last week's episode was mainly this season's story wrap up, that was obvious; this week's was preparation for next season. It's a great story, a great show, has great characters, and I've never missed an episode. I just hate having to wait another 9 months to see what happens next!

Game of Thrones
Mad Men
The Killing
