  I am a real MD. This show is complete la la fantasy land... it always has been. Back when ER was good, they had some realism (not any more though). It's always sad when the profession is not accurately depicted. Give people the wrong ideas of what is really going on in the hospital. Anyway, the reason I posted was this... Izzy is having a psychotic break. She's the right age, she is having auditory and visual hallucinations. She is the television version of "A Beautiful Mind." Maybe she will get on some medication and be semi normal, but I doubt she could continue as a surgeon. (Of course I don't think an odd Asberger patient could become a renowned heart surgeon, you do have to meet the patients first.) Schizophrenia is always sad... more so for someone with a lot of potential and has worked hard to achieve. Plus, Izzy was the most likable of all the characters... she's going into movies instead.

  They are auditory and visual hallucinations. Very "real" to the person having them. Didn't anyone see "A Beautiful Mind."?
