  I am not necessarily a full on Vanessa hater, but I feel there are times in the world of television where a character is no longer needed.  Sometimes characters are only needed for a few seasons, and then they eventually leave because they are no longer supporting story lines.  Vanessa has never fit in well with the gossip girl world, and lately the writers seem to be just randomly throwing her into situations because they have nothing better to do with her.  I believe to further along the show they need to write out Vanessa.  This will give the show the opportunity to add a new series regular that can help further the plot of the show.  Right now paying to have Jessica Szohr as a series regular is a waste of money.  Vanessa does not belong there anymore, her and her supposed moral high ground need to leave the Upper East Side.  I believe Katie Cassidy would make an excellent series regular. She is coniving and manipulative, but she also makes you like her.  Her ability to morph into the gossip girl world was flawless, and well Jessica Szohr's was poorly recieved.  For creative purposes Vanessa needs to go, and I am sure many would agree.  Sorry Ed Westwick your girlfriend is beautiful, but she does not belong on the Upper East Side.

  Did you guys read that some background characters would become regulars, well if you watch the promo CARTER BAIZEN is in it!!! Does that mean he will become a regular next year because if so he could contribute quite a bit to the cast & plot lines.  Any other ideas of who could become regulars?
