Arrow Round Table: "City of Blood"

Island? Sara and Ollie? Umm, no. First, I believe it was Ollie/Slade and then Ollie/Shado/Slade, followed by Oliver/Sara. Just as post island it went from Oliver/Diggle to Oliver/Felicity/Diggle. Don't get me wrong, I like Sara, but you can't throw out everyone of relevance, and Core Team Arrow is the Triad. I see Sara as BC helping out next season. :)

Q#1. Without a doubt, Oliver should have manned up and been there for Thea. After what she has had thrown at her lately, couple that with witnessing her mother’s brutal murder, it was completely selfish on Oliver’s part to not support her. Oliver may have been grappling with his decision to hand himself over to Slade, but if there was ever a time to put on the big boy pants and put his family first, then was definitely the time. In my opinion, this played to show just how strong of a character Thea actually is. I look forward to seeing her story develop. Q#2 I am just going to take issue with Carissa’s answer and disagree about Roy.
What did Roy do to get into the lair? He’s been acting as the Arrow's eyes and ears since 2x02. Arrow also sent him out to track down the "Blonde Vigilante," and helped the Arrow track down a group of bad guys in 2x06. In addition to helping the Arrow, he also worked with Teen Arrow in 2x08/2x09 and went to the Arrow for help in finding Blood. It was their initial investigation that started the whole “Blood” suspicion. Not to mention that Roy has been out there since 1x23 helping people on the street and actually tipped Oliver off to The Fema truck raids in 2x02. So, yeah, I think he has definitely earned his place. He was also introduced and shook hands with the other team members as all members in the past have down. Q#3 I agree with Kate. He’s in survival mode, but at the same time I don’t think he cares about the Arrow. He knows who Slade is after and while he knows he may be a pawn, he’s going to plow full steam ahead with his plan and let Slade and Oliver deal with each other. He’s in it for himself, but in the end I think he will be one of a couple of tragedies. Q#4 Easy — Felicity, Diggle and Oliver. I think Roy will become a more permanent fixture at some point next season. Q#5 I thick this episode was used to show the importance of the core three and to show how well they work together. These three are the reason why the show works so well. As Oliver said, it began with the three of them and it will end with the three of them.
