Oh geezus. Lets get a little understanding. This word HATE is very strong for a fictional character. I don't invest enough feelings into someone outside of my family to warrant hatred let alone a fictional character on a tv show. I did say lesser of 2 jerks. I will say I am more interested in Jake and Olivia's storyline because I see it as much more complex than the one with Fitz's. I find his character to be a one note character that hasn't shown any progress since day one of the show. He's very easily read and there are no layers to him so I disregard him. He's not complex enough to encite strong enough feelings that could be called hate. Everything I said about Fitz were things I noticed during Season 1 and 2 and beyond that there has been no change. As far as you trying to pinpoint some type of hatred for a character on a tv show, obviously you are way more invested into them than I am. From what I'm gathering you are taking offense at anything I say towards Jake as a character as a slight against Fitz. Thats not how I view television. I watch House of Cards where everyone is despicable and no one has any redeeming qualities and I don't hate a single character. But to throw you a bone so you can go on your Savior Fitz rant that you are dying to get into, I will say this: He does not want Olivia and only Olivia. He wants Olivia and the Presidency. So this insipid boring love triangle is actually a love square.

it wouldn't make any sense to show anything after that day. The flashbacks are going to lead us up to that day and the days after. They are spending that much time on the direct aftermath so that we get clues to watch for during the flashbacks. The flashbacks have to catch up with the present so that it can move in a linear storyline after that. Otherwise the flashbacks would never catch up.
