  • They Shoot Humphreys, Don't They? (11/11/2009)

    1) Threesome wasn't what I expected, but it wasn't as awful as people are saying it was. I'm reserving judgement on this one until we get flashbacks from next week's episode.

    2) Jenny is really stepping into her role as Queen Bee quite well! This is one of my favourite GG storylines, especially since it's been building up since S1. She's obviously going to have just as many problems as Blair though with gaining/keeping the respect of her minions and being dethroned/losing face. No matter how hard J tries, she'll always be from Brooklyn ;p

    3) The cover of 'Whatever You Like' by Anya Marina was AMAZING. Where and how they used it was impeccable. It's only available on iTunes, AFAIK

One of my favourite episodes not only this season, but of the series. While we might complain about the focus not being on Cotillion more (or how Cotillion seemed lacking), it's really because J is the only one with a big role in the event. B and S were only mentors, and I have no idea why N was there in the first place.

  • Why its dumb to hate Jenny. (11/11/2009)

I agree with your argument 100% Rel. I think people are judging Jenny inappropriately based on how she's acting. She's had to work her Brooklyn ass off to get to where she is on the social ladder at Constance (pleasing Blair and her minions for 2 years, etc...). Obviously she has seen what it takes to be a successful Queen and she's learned. If anything, she should be a better Queen than Blair ever was (especially towards the end of season 2 when Blair lost the respect of her minions). Jenny's "bitchiness" is justified. She is a bitch when the situation demands for it, same as Blair. Otherwise, she's the same Jenny telling Eric she still has fun with him and wishes she could go to Cotillion with him, etc... Did we not just see her playing scrabble with the family one episode ago?

Jenny is fit to be Queen Bee. In fact, after debuting with Nate she's shed that Brooklyn Girl image and she can truly embrace being Queen of the Upper East Side.
