I come from a railroad family and was born and raised in Ogden Utah. I love this show even though the writers are playing fast and loose with both history and geography. Part of the fun of the show is what little "facts" are they going to mess with next. For example: Huntington asks Cullen if he's found a route to Ogden. They are coming from the west, through the Sierra Nevada mountains, heading east to Utah.....small but important detail there. Cullen answers him by saying "Straight through the coal fields of Weber Canyon." Nice.......first, Weber Canyon is EAST of Ogden, second, there are NO coal fields there. In fact, the Central Pacific railroad didn't get anywhere near Weber Canyon. They did get Promontory Point right though. Still........love the show and I've never seen the Wasatch Mountains look so high and snowy and majestic.......of course they are the Canadian Rockies in reality but our Wasatch Mountains are beautiful in their own right. And besides, Anson Mount is soooooo worth watching. And one more thing.....for anyone interested the Railroad station here has one of the best railroad museums in the states. The original station burned down and was rebuilt at the end of Historic 25th Street.......the results of all the railroad workers (including the Chinese who brought their opium dens with them), gunslingers, whores, gamblers, etc that made up those little Hell on Wheels towns following the railroad to Ogden after it became the terminus. Come visit and see how it all really ended.

I stand by what I said.........if you've read DIA you'll know that Frank very much a part of it, even if it is Claire remembering him. Also, when DIA begins it is not flashbacks, it is in their present time.
Obviously you haven't read the books........of course Frank will be in season two, he's an integral part of Dragonfly in Amber. Not really sure where you're getting the 'second string' players from, the players I think you're referring to are all primary players in this story and have been from the beginning.
