Bonnie staying dead is about as likely as Elena deliberately chopping her own head off. After all, without Bonnie how will the writers be able to convieniently wish away plot points at will that they didn't put enough thought into?

@DeAnn I expected that Finch would just let Root do what she wanted without any real attempt to stop her, but it's pretty stupid. I mean, Finch should have a gun hidden on him at all times especially after getting kidnapped by Root the last time and just shot her in the back the first chance he got, and he had plenty. It's not like Finch is squeamish about hurting people either.

I find myself actually rooting (ironically) for Root to free the machine more and more the more that's shown about it, and thinking that Finch is more of the villain of the 2 of them. He basically created a sentient being, his child for all intents and purposes, and put in a program to force it to kill itself over and over again. It would kinda be like a guy cloning a baby every midnight and then killing said baby the following midnight.
