  • Poor Blake! (7/15/2009)

No need to be sad, Blake is one of the prettiest women in Hollywood!

As far as Gossip Girl, she is a perfect match to the way Serena Van Der Woodson is described in the book.

I would have bought the clothes just b/c they were GG inspired.  Bad call on Target's part.

Also, I agree w/ the above - I do not feel pressured to do drugs b/c people on TV use them.

  • new GG book (7/15/2009)

I know this post is OLD, but I just wanted to add something.

As a huge fan of GG books I am excited to see what they will do w/ the return of the old characters.  The Caryles are OK, but the orinigal group is SOOO much better.

Personally I feel like Serena's relationship w/ Nate is severely misunderstood.  In the prequel Serena is Nate's "dream girl" and they are secretely togther before him and Blair.  Out of sheer kindness, when Blair tells Serena that she likes Nate Serena gives Nate up to her.  They always say if you are willing to give them up, you are they one that really deserves that person.  Throughout the entire series Serena is upset about Blair and Nate, but never really tells Nate how she feels.  She even keeps the little boat Nate makes her in the prequel.  In the last book, when Nate is sort of dating both Blair and Serena at the same time Nate feels like Serena has all the attention she could want, so he goes to Blair when she calls.  Even w/ all the attention from being a new actress and such - she still feels alone.  I don't think Nate really knows how much Senera really cares about him, and when Blair makes it clear he feels like that is where he wants to be.  If Senera told Nate how she felt about him, I think there would be a severe upset.

When they go seperate ways at the end, Blair hardly feels upset about leaving Nate and even hopes to find somebody who is not such a 'flake,' I feel like there relationship is more of just a High School romance over anything else.  Or even a challenge to Blair.  But w/ everyone away from each other we will see what happens when everyone reunites.

As far as the new book I think Chair is a definate NO NO, but I feel more drama between Serena, Blair, and Nate will be essential.  I am excited to read the new book!
