Pan Am Review: Truth or Dare (11/7/2011)At first the show seemed a bit "choppy" to me, maybe it's because of the frequent flashbacks? I realize it's integral to the show but it can get confusing especially with multiple storylines going on. Overall, I enjoyed this episode. I could especially identify with the storyline involving Laura and Joe because I too was miltary and in an interracial marriage. So, I can attest to the fact that even as recent as the 1980s, there was a considerable amount of hostility and at times violence was shown towards people in such relationships. The Kate and Nico story was just heartbreaking. I'm glad to see Kate realizes she's waaay in over her head. Also I like seeing the sisters bond like that, too. Of course, Maggie was just being Maggie lol. What I wish we saw last night was MORE Collette! I LOVED it that she got to "fly." I think she and Dean would make a great couple. She's stable and he needs to stop seeing 'unstable' women like Bridget and Ginny.
Pan Am Review: Imitation, Flattery and Sincerity (10/31/2011)That dinner kind of surprised me in the way the pilots were treated. I knew that people sometimes looked down their noses at the stewardesses/FA's as the "help" but I didn't realize some airline execs had a condscending attitude towards pilots. Quite the comedown when you consider that Dean mentioned in one episode he got the job because he got bold and basically challenged Juan Trippe into giving him the job.
