Hi Captain Cook. Thanks for inquiring if I am still alive. Well, I'm not 6 feet under yet. I still read all of the comments on this site. Unfortunately, I have still had no desire to watch season 6 and I must admit that I have not watched a single episode and I quit looking at previews. I just still feel ripped off by Marlowe. All of the reviews complain about the lack of physical contact and complete lack of kissing between Castle and Beckett. I understand that many people feel that the looks they share, etc., are enough, but I'm, not one of them. Marlowe misrepresented the season, probably to get people to watch it, by calling it "romantic." I'm sorry, but in a show like this, you have no right to call the season "romantic" when your two leads don't even kiss. I mean Castle has had more kisses (not necessarily with Beckett) in Season 3 and Season 4, when he was not with Beckett, than in a season where he is engaged to the woman!!! Come on now, this is a rip off. I may get over my disappointment some day but I haven't yet, so I will continue to refrain from watching until reviews convince me that they have started to SHOW romance between Castle and Beckett.

I have been following all of the reviews of the "regulars" on this site and it has been wholly depressing. I have still not watched a single episode and I am kind of glad. When I hear that Marlowe's "romantic" season has gone six episodes with not one single kiss, I am sad for the show. Now we have this crazy long hiatus, mixed up show schedules, etc. I have a strong suspicion that there must be something up between Fillion and Katic. The kisses they have had have been lacking in any passion whatsoever. Although they continue to fake the onscreen chemistry fairly well, they just can't seem to fake the passion. I think they are good at pretending to like each other in public for obvious show ratings reasons, but I doubt they like each other at all. At past interviews over the first 4 years of the show, they used to sit side by side. Now, they always sit pretty far apart and they rarely address each other directly. But even if this is not a problem, there is definitely something up. Marlowe's comments have been all over the place, absurd, and don't seem to even apply to this show! It is just depressing that a show that so great for the first 4.5 years has been reduced to a pitiful, moderately rated procedural, with a romance between the leads that viewers only get to imagine off screen. We get nothing on screen. So sad. Well, I will keep checking your reviews in hopes that things improve and maybe I can watch an episode or two. But I won't hold my breath.

Sorry Jase, but Kate didn't tell Castle that she loved him until 5x22 Still. Castle told Kate that he loved her in 4x23 Always, nearly a year earlier. Castle is a notorious player, really? As for a posh life, not until after his first big book hit, which he EARNED!!! He lived a hard poor childhood. Now Beckett had a posh childhood and has never wanted for money her whole life. I'm not sure we are watching the same Castle if you think he is controlling and taking her for granted. Name one instance in which Castle has been controlling to Beckett. I can name hundreds of instances when she has been controlling of him. About being taken for granted, Beckett sure takes Castle's help at the precinct for granted. What if he decided he didn't want to do it anymore? Sure, Beckett gave Castle a drawer. Castle gave Beckett $100,000 to try to catch her mom's killer in Sucker Punch. He set up a charity event to help fund a scholarship that he set up in Johanna Beckett's name. He is practically solely responsible for helping Beckett find her mother's killer. He saved her life in 2x18 Boom, then let her stay with him at the loft until she found a new place. He upgraded her to first class on the trip to LA and let her stay in his hotel room for free, where he helped her to find Royce's killer in 3x22 To Live and Die in LA. He agreed to live in DC with her and got them an apt together before she got fired.... Geez, I could go on and on with things Castle has done for her. But the biggest one, he has worked faithfully to help her solve murders for the last 5+ years now, without fail, for FREE!!!! What big important things has Beckett done for Castle in the last 5 years? List them please.
