• This Evening's Gossip Girl: What Did You Think? (10/13/2009)

  Carter/Serena broke my heart but I'm kind of excited about the prospects of SereNate. I'm happy Lily and Rufus finally tied the knot. I teared up a little when Lily choked up talking to Scott. (I'm surprised by that since I haven't been a fan of this Scott storyline.) Dan was absolutely hilarious once again with both Georgina and Vanessa. Keep him doing comedy! I loved it when Chuck sought out Serena to see if she was OK and told her he thought Carter had real feelings for her. But that's pretty typical for Chuck. He can be an ass but he always has the back of the other members of the NJBC when they're in crisis. I felt sorry for Nate. Once again he got used and manipulated. If he was a real person he'd have grown very bitter and cynical by now. *sigh* Maybe Serena can help fix him. ;-) The Chair scenes were minimal (which my Chair lovin' heart hated) but what they lacked in quantity they partially made up for in quality (e.g., the good morning kiss, the dancing, the looks during the wedding ceremony, the massage, etc.) Re: Next week's show. To me one of the most shocking things about that promo was that Chuck looked like he was SMILING! lol. Chuck rarely smiles. (I remember when he smiled after finally telling Blair he loved her. I actually gasped. It was so surprising and sweet.)
  

• This Evening's Gossip Girl: What Did You Think? (10/13/2009)

  I thought it was a good episode but I agree with janeymid that they're trying to focus on too many characters and that's making the stories suffer a little bit. To me the show is best when both Serena and Blair's storylines are always at the forefront and get lots of attention from the writers. The second tier, in order should be Chuck, Dan, Nate and Lily/Rufus. Vanessa and Jenny should really be part of the supporting cast. Every once in a while characters other than Blair or Serena should get major focus in an episode but no episode should ever be without those two characters from and center. I think one reason I'm frustrated with the show right now is because Blair in particular has been used so much as supporting comedic filler. This episode was yet another example of it. She played support to the main stories of Lily/Rufus and Serena/Carter. It looks like next week she MIGHT get a main storyline that isn't a laugh a minute for once. We'll see how it goes.

  Awww. I like that Eleanor is pregnant.  It's a shout out to the books!!

  He seems pretty cool and even kind of sweet in some interviews (e.g., all that stuff about how he dreams of having his own family one day, claiming to be the last of the romantics, being super close to his mom and dad, blah blah blah).  But having said that?  He does alot of stuff that makes me cringe: The gross tattoos, some of the over the top PDA with Jess, the tacky Wisconsin wedding stripping stuff, lol.

  So yeah, I can see why he's not everyone's cup of tea. lol.

  That's fine, although the same can be said for those same Chair fans who hate on Jessica just as much.

  And that actually bugs the shit out of me.  I LOATHE Vanessa but I don't know the first fucking thing about Jessica.  Lots of Chair fans act like she's this publicity whore that's using Ed or keeping Ed and Leighton's grand love apart.  I mean WTH?  There's a reason they aren't together.  Ed isn't Chuck and Leighton isn't Blair.  Good grief.  

  Oh and I see what you're saying Alexa Crawford.  Even if I don't know an actor they can still come across badly in interviews.  I don't really feel that way about any of the GG cast but I've felt that way about other folks I don't personally know: Dr. Tom Cruise for example.

  I love seeing some Ed/Chuck hate. If you have a livejournal you should definitely join chuckoff. It's the best thing ever.

  I don't get the Ed hate.  I can understand people disliking Chuck, but Ed?  That's weird to me.  That's more psycho than the most psychotic "ZOMG Chuck and Blair need to have sex and a BAYBEE!!" Chair fan.
