I'm with Gloria. Since season 1, I thought the chief may be Mer's father. It would be an interesting twist.

Question: Where is Jackson sleeping in Mer's house? It went from 3 strays (Alex, Izzy,little Grey) to 4 houseguests. I can't see Alex sharing a room. It might cramp his style.
Grey's to end with Season 7? (3/29/2009)

I would hate to see this great show come to an end. But, there may be some truth here. I believe the show was originally set up for 7 years. They can elect to go longer if the main actors agree. Rewatch season 1 when Mer walks into the ER and the chief is speaking. He says the next 7 years will be the hardest....I think 7 years is the training period of a surgeon. So, there is some truth here and time will tell.
