Richard: Maybe I can help.
Arizona: No, no you can't. Because as long as you're standing there breathing over my shoulder, I feel like I'm operating on a stack of dollar bills, 25 million dollar bills, and what I need to be invested in right now is this kid, so please, get the hell out of my O.R.

This is not general surgery on a miniature scale. These are the tiny humans. These are children. They believe in magic. They play pretend. There is fairy dust in their IV bags. They hope, and they cross their fingers, and they make wishes, and that makes them more resilient than adults. They recover faster, survive worse. They believe.

Arizona: No, no, whoa whoa whoa whoa!
Richard: Move!
Arizona: No!
Richard: Dr. Robbins!
Arizona: I said no! Dr. Shepherd is operating on the inside of a man's spinal chord right now. Even the most minor disturbance could cause him to make a mistake on that patient- a patient who happens to work here, and whose life I personally would like to see Dr. Shepherd save. So no... you don't get to go in there and be a bully. Not today chief, not on my watch.

Most people think that I was named for the state, but it's not true, I was named for a battle ship. The U.S.S. Arizona. My grandfather was serving on the Arizona when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and he saved nineteen men before he drowned. Pretty much everything my father did his whole life was about honoring that sacrifice. I was raised to be a good man in a storm. Raised to love my country. Love my family. Protect the things I love. When my father, Colonel Daniel Robinson of the United States Marine Corps, heard that I was a lesbian he said he only had one question. I was prepared for "How fast can you get the hell out of my house?" But instead, it was "Are you still who I raised you to be?" My father believes in country the way that you believe in God. And my father is not a man who bends, but he bent for me because I am his daughter. I'm a good man in a storm. I love your daughter. And I protect the things I love. Not that I need too, she doesn't need it. She's strong, and caring, and honorable. And she's who you raised her to be.

Arizona: You know, I hate it when people who don't live here say that seattle weather sucks. Those people sucks.
Callie: Ooh! I wanted to show you something. I made a list.
Arizona: Hmmm? You made a list?
Callie: Yeah, to read to the Chief. 50 reason's why he should hire me as an attending. Ok. Number one, I built a man's bones out of titanium rods. Two, what I lack in experience, I make up for in raw talent. Three, I can go 7 hours in the OR without even taking a pee break. Four... what are you doing?
Arizona: I'm going back to the hospital.
Callie: Uh, this is important.
Arizona: I lost my favourite scrub nurse yesterday. Anne. She's a single mother, she's supporting 3 kids, and now she's out of a job. And this morning, a 10 month old hemorrhaged while I was deep in her chest, and I didn't have my favourite scrubs nurse. I had to actually look up and ask for a mesh wrap, because the new nurse didn't know me. Anne knew all my moves before I even made them. And it felt terrible to be in the OR without her. I was really looking forward to spending 30 minutes in the park with my girlfriend, cause this merger thing, is important to all of us.
Callie: Sorry, I've been just... Sorry.
Arizona: He'll say yes, or he'll say no. And then we'll know.
Callie: Ok.

Callie: Ok, one more time. You'll the Chief real cranky, and in a bad mood. And, I'll be Callie asking for her job back.
Arizona: You are Callie.
Callie: Right, so it works.
Arizona: You said that yesterday. And the day before that. And the day before, the day before that. So, are you gonna do this.
Callie: Hey, it is not easy to ask for your job back after you told your boss to go screw himself over this entire hospital. It's humiliating.
Arizona: So, you're not gonna do it.
Callie: What... what is the point? He already fired me once. He's not gonna hire me back now just because of the merger. Whatever. Maybe being a surgeons overrated. I could be doing lots of things. I could open a daycare. Babies are cute. Ew, that one just spit.
Arizona: Calliope Torres, I don't want you to have to move to Cleveland to be a surgeon.
Callie: Ok. I'm gonna do it. Later? I... I will come back later.
Arizona: (talks to the baby) My girlfriends moving to Cleveland. Yep. Yep.

Arizona: I hate, hate, hate this merger because I hate long distance relationships. I don't believe in them. So, you can't move to Portland.
Callie: Well, when you mentioned it this afternoon you didn't seem to mind. You were like... "move to Portland!"
Arizona: I didn't know that I was allowed to mind. I didn't know if we were girlfriends. But, then you said girlfriend. You called me your girlfriend. So, I need to know. Am I your girlfriend?
Callie: Yeah.
Arizona: Ok. Good. So, yeah. No! You're not moving to Portland. No, but what you are gonna do is you're gonna go into the Chief's office and you're gonna beg for...
Callie: I am not gonna grovel.
Arizona: Ah, yes you are. Seriously. You don't wanna mess with me.

Arizona: You know it's not a good idea to piss of your attending.
Cristina: I didn't know he was upset. I'll apologize.
Arizona: I wasn't talking about him.
Cristina: Sorry?
Arizona: I like kids, and I like their parents, and I like to see them smile. So I like, going to get them pudding and playing games with them because it makes attaching their arms way more fun. I don't like being used.
Cristina: I wasn't use...
Arizona: And I liked being lied to even less.

Mark: How does this happen? Was Chang just not paying attention?
Arizona: She made a mistake.
Cristina: Wrong time to make a mistake with the merger.
Mark: Oh, you people need to stop with the doom and gloom scenarios. I just read somewhere that hospitals revenue went up last quarter.
Cristina: Except for elective procedures which went down 13%.
Mark You mean elective procedures like plastic surgeries. Now you're saying I'm gonna get fired?
Cristina: I don't think anyone is safe.
Mark: I'm safe.
Cristina: How can you be sure?
Arizona: HEY! We're about to reattach a baby's arm here, so we need to stop thinking about the merger and think instead about this little girl throwing a ball, and holding a spoon, and waving bye bye to her parents.

Arizona: Hey, you know I'm working with Cristina. She's interested in peds.
Callie: No she isn't.
Arizona: Yeah she is.
Callie: Oh ok. Well.
Arizona: What, did she say something to you?
Callie: She didn't have to. She's Cristina.
Arizona: Oh ok, you're gonna have to help me out here. 'Cause I don't know what that means.
Callie: I shouldn't say anything she's my roommate.... And you're my girlfriend. Girlfriend trumps roommate. Ok, fine. She's Cristina. She's all about cardio. So, she's probably sucking up to you to get through the merger. I mean, is she good with the kids?
Arizona: Oh, she's sucking up.
Callie: Yeah.

Cristina: Tyler Leigh came in with renal colic 3 days ago that has not resolved. We are going to be performing an extracorporeal shock wave therapy today to break up the stones in his ureter so they can pass.
Arizona: No we're not.
Cristina: Ah, yes we are.
Arizona: No we're not, cause there was no blood in his urine this morning.
Cristina: Ah, just in case you should... We should just in case.
Arizona: You wanna do a surgical procedure on a 9 year old even though it's no longer indicated?
Cristina: No, of course not.
Arizona: Ok, so Dr Yang do you want to tell the good new to Tyler and his mom?
Cristina: It seems as thought your son's stones may have passed on their own.
Tyler's Mom: He doesn't need surgery?
Arizona: Nope, looks like he healed himself. Can you believe that Dr Yang? On your first day in peds.
Cristina: No I can't actually.
Tyler: Does this mean I can eat?
Arizona: Yeah, yeah. Dr. Yang can go get you something.

Arizona: Oh um, Dr Yang. Have you seen Sage? She's 6, light brown hair, gorgeous blue eyes, she just had a tumor removed from her belly so she has a bandage on her tummy. You know what, hey, why don't you check under the bed? Maybe she's there. Her labs are better than we expected.
Cristina: Ah she's not under the bed.
Arizona: Hah... Oh... Maybe try the bathroom? Maybe she slipped in there. How'd she do last night, did she get any sleep.
Sage's Mom: She did, I didn't.
Cristina: Bathroom's clear.
Arizona: Wait, shhh.... i think there's something coming from your pocket. Is Sage inside your pocket?
Cristina: No, no. She's hiding here.
Sage: You've gotta look in your pocket first.
Cristina: No, I don't. Because I found you already. Now, I just need to check your incision site so...
Sage: Don't touch it, it hurts.
Arizona: You know, I bet that Mr Bear would like to see Sage's scar. Wouldn't you Mr Bear?
Cristina: Oh um, (puts on a big bear voice) Yes I would!
(Sage and Arizona both look at Cristina strangely)
