Jicama is a fruit that is very common in Mexico (You can eat put some chilli powder on it and it is delish), ergo it has nothing to do with lesbianism, rather than her latin roots.

I think it's a play on the idea of lesbians being edgy & avante-garde - hence the reference to the flattop haircut.

Jicama is like a potato but its yummy to peel and slice into strips and dip in ranch with no cooking. Idk how or what it has to do with being "gay" or how in that context it is like being a lesbian with a flat top.
