DEREK: "Waiting for it to pass."
ADDISON: "For what to pass?"
[narrating] "It’s a look patients get in their eyes... Some kind of sixth sense, when the great beyond is headed for you, you feel it coming. What's the one thing you’ve always dreamed of doing before you died?"
MEREDITH
CRISTINA: "What've you got?"
MEREDITH: "Bomb in a body cavity."
CRISTINA: [shakes head] "Man! All I have is Bailey's husband's open brain."
"Ah, what have we here? A gathering of men outside a delivery room. How mid-century of you."
ADDISON
MILTON: "Pink mist."
HANNAH: "What?"
MILTON: "Pink mist. That's what the bomb squad calls you when you blow up. When you explode."
DYLAN: "You can't still be here."
DEREK: "I'm not going anywhere."
DYLAN: "Well, you do whatever you have to. But the Chief of Surgery authorized me to evacuate everyone on this floor."
DEREK: "The Chief of Surgery doesn't scare me. Dr. Bailey scares me. I'm not going to be the one to let her husband die, and that's what would happen if I put this skull flap on, in this condition. Bomb or no bomb. Now get out of my O.R."
IZZIE: "Is it wrong that we're jealous? It's alright to be jealous, right?"
GEORGE: "The fact that we're jealous because they both might die is not a reflection of our character. It's about feeling useless."
IZZIE: "Ineffectual."
GEORGE: "We couldn't even get Meredith out of bed this morning without calling Cristina. How embarrassing is that?"
IZZIE: "You know what I think, George? I think Meredith and Cristina are doers."
GEORGE: "Right. They do. They're doers."
IZZIE: [sees Alex talking to a female employee] "They do. And we.... we watch. We're watchers. We have to become more proactive, George. We have to become doers."
GEORGE: "Fight for what we want."
IZZIE: "It's what we have to do."
GEORGE: "Yeah."
[Izzie gets up and leaves, George hurries after]
GEORGE: "Oh. You mean now. We're starting right now?"
CRISTINA: [to George in dream sequence] "You're smarter than me and have great hair."
MEREDITH: [to George in dream sequence] "I'm in love with you, George. I always have been, and I always will be."
IZZIE: [back to reality] "George, if you keeping clogging up the toilet, you're gonna have to learn how to use a plunger or we're going to make you crap in the yard."
[after placing her hand on the bomb inside the patient] "What did I do... what did I do... what did I do... what did I do?"
MEREDITH
HANNAH: "So, inside this man, I’m touching live, unexploded ammunition."
PRESTON: "I think so."
HANNAH: [pauses] "Not the greatest feeling in the world."
PRESTON: "It's definitely as bad as it seems."
HANNAH: [panicking] "I am 22 years old. I should not even be in here! This is some kind of mistake."
MIRANDA: [to the interns] "I've been gone for two weeks. Two weeks and you ran off two residents? I've got people phoning me at home, screaming, telling me my interns are a bunch of Rosemary's Babies. Nobody wants you! Do you think I have time for this? I'm pregnant. I'm supposed to be on bed rest. I'm supposed to be growing a human being. I'm supposed to be calm. Do I look calm? Did I raise you fools to be pariahs?"
GEORGE: [hugs her] "You're back."
MIRANDA: "I'm not back."
GEORGE: "You're not?"
MIRANDA: "Get off me."
GEORGE: "Dr. Bailey?"
MIRANDA: "What?!"
GEORGE: "What do you want me to tell Dr. Montgomery Shepherd when she answers her page?"
MIRANDA: [watches her water break] "You can tell her my contractions are 10 minutes apart and my water just broke all over your shoes!"
"Go away. I don't want to see any of you until after this baby is born, which, if he stays on schedule and does like I told him to, should be in about four and a half hours."
