The episode opened with Caroline thinking she was going to get sick after Han sneezed on her. He offered to pay for a visit to a specific clinic that had a doctor on staff. It turned out this clinic was in the Orthodox Jewish community.

While there the girls over heard the receptionist saying she needed cupcakes for her son’s bar mitzvah the next day. Max said that they could bake the cupcakes. The woman points out they needed to be kosher.

After debating with Caroline about making sure they were kosher, Max finally agreed to make them kosher. The next day after the family starts taking care of her because she is sick, Max admits that 4 of the 80 cupcakes weren’t kosher because she had burned a batch and made some with the supplies she had.
