Recap

Liz calls Jack after discovering a waffle in her DVD player.

He reminds her that after her oral surgery, she made a complete mess out of herself.

Avery, Jack's new girlfriend, informs him that a cable company is in the running to purchase NBC.

He immediately says the idea is false, and cites a conversation with boss/hero Don Geiss as the reason for the debauched rumor.

Frank doesn't show up to work, and as a disgruntled Liz begins to call the lazy writer, she comes across a certain "Future Husband" in her phonebook.

She realizes that it must be the man she met in the dentist's office before her procedure, and both Jenna and Kenneth encourage her to pursue her dream boyfriend.

As Jenna and Tracy rehearse for the new episode of TGS, Tracy announces that he is auditioning for a Broadway role in hopes of winning a Tony and completing the "T" in "EGOT."

Jack's office seems to be quiet, and after Avery calls and notifies him that he is out of the loop about the NBC buy-out deal, Jack panics.

As Liz gets a check up from her dentist, she tries to ask questions in hopes of finding "Future Husband." The Doctor denies her answers.

After Tracy gets rave reviews for his Broadway performance, Jenna says that in order to be eligible for a Tony, he must do the same performance eight times.

Tracy, a self-proclaimed "spontaneous actor," can't imagine how he will put on the same performance another seven times.

Kenneth convinces Liz to call "Future Husband," use a Jamaican accent, and convince him to come in and see the doctor, ultimately allowing Liz and the man to meet again.

As Jack heads down to the news center to talk to Avery, Brian Williams makes another cameo.

Jack ultimately wants Avery to report that Geiss is trying to avoid the buyout, but she is hesitant and wants the true story.

Jack wants to defend his mentor, and does not want to see the real truth behind what is going on.

He decides to go to Connecticut, find Geiss, and "stand by his man."

After Liz goes to the dentist's office, she meets him awkwardly as she dials his number. Funny enough, she comes up as "Future Wife" on his phone, and the two decide to have coffee. The date is awkward to say the least.

Jack Welch reveals that Geiss is dead, and our Jack is horrified. All of his nightmares are becoming realities, and the deal is finally looming. Kenneth grills Liz about her date, and she explains how it was a complete and total disaster.

Ultimately, Jack finds out that NBC is being purchased by Kabletown and his dreams of promotion are shattered.

Jenna fails to teach Tracy Broadway techniques, and Liz is shocked to find out that "Future Husband," now revealed as Wesley, was the man to find Kenneth's wallet on the street.

Because of this strange coincidence, the two decide to give the relationship one last shot.

Jack is shocked to find out that Avery reports he is the front-runner to replace Geiss at the new acquisition, and the phone starts ringing off the hook.
