After their vacation, Andrew returns to his office prepared to research Jiaying's things from Afterlife. He discovers an old book, opens it, and a Terrigen crystal breaks. The good doctor soon finds himself encased in a cocoon.

Back at S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ, Daisy argues against Rosalind's stasis procedure, while Coulson stands behind it explaining the ATCU is working on a cure. Dr. Garner listens intently, eventually pointing out to Daisy that just because she learned to control her powers it doesn't mean that will happen with others.

Andrew volunteers to reassess Joey Gutierrez in the hope of presenting a successful Inhuman case to the global community. Rosalind has arranged a meeting with the President of the United States, and Coulson will attend as a consultant.

Simmons gives Fitz her phone hoping to recover the data from the other side. He sees a photo of Will holding Jemma and gets upset. However, an audio recording soon grabs his attention. In a video clip, Jemma confesses her feelings for Fitz.

On their way back to HQ, Bobbi mentions the monster to Agent May who recalls Von Strucker's story about Dr. Garner. Melinda immediately looks into Andrew's flight logs and blood work. She prepares to confront her ex, but Daisy tells her the doctor is at an offsite training facility.

At "The Cocoon" facility, Joey tells Dr. Garner he feels excited about the control he has over his powers now. Andrew drifts off, and imagines himself as Lash killing the Inhuman.

Bobbi and Hunter reunite, she convinces him they have to stop chasing Ward. Revenge is not worth them turning into monsters.

Rosalind arrives on Zephyr One and takes a tour with Daisy. Naturally, Daisy brings up the stasis procedure telling Rosalind to admit being scared of her kind. The ATCU boss admits she is afraid, "Because for every Daisy Johnson, there's a Lash."

Melinda interrupts Andrew's session with Joey and confronts her ex regarding Von Strucker's story. Though Andrew denies being Lash, he panics and ices Melinda with a night-night gun. A while later, he comes clean, admitting he can't control the transformation. Andrew recounts the events that created his alter ego, Lash.

Lincoln calls Mack and asks to meet. The Inhuman explains that all his friends are either missing or dead. Mack doesn't understand why Lincoln reached out to him. "Because you fought by my side against that thing. It eliminates you as a suspect" Lincoln informs a very confused Mack. "Lash is in S.H.I.E.L.D." he continues.

The duo arrives on the plane, and Lincoln quickly shares the news that Andrew is Lash.

Coulson and the team track Melinda and Andrew to an abandoned building. "I'm simply trying to sort the good from the bad" Andrew claims. The doctor ultimately transforms into Lash and all hell breaks loose. Lincoln decides to take the monster down himself, "Who the hell made you judge, jury and executioner?" he shouts.

Lash kills a few ATCU agents, then tosses Rosalind from several floors up to her death. Luckily, Daisy uses her powers to save the ATCU boss.

May stops Lash from killing Lincoln, talking her transformed ex-husband back to human form. She shoots and he falls back into a containment unit. Though she wasn't sure she wouldn't kill him, Lash manages to survive.

Rosalind offers to put Andrew into stasis to slow his transformation. Melinda checks with Daisy, who recommends she do it.

Fitz is on to something. He notices Will's space program logo is similar to a symbol they saw at the castle chamber in England. He shares this information with Simmons, then asks about her video confession. "I was as clear headed then as I've ever been, when I said all those things" Jemma assures him. The two friends watch the sunrise together.

Ward meets with Gideon Malick to discuss HYDRA. Suddenly the man's phone rings, it's Rosalind apologizing for missing their meeting.

She turns to Coulson, the two kiss and make plans for breakfast.
