The mysterious guy with the alien glyph tattoos meets a woman at a bar. She feels an instant connection and takes him home. Unfortunately, this stranger is not a good guy. He not only murders her, but carves the now familiar alien map on her body. We soon learn that Coulson's own compulsion has increased to a daily activity. "It wants us to know" he tells Skye. Though Skye knows the glyph's are a map, she does not know what kind of map it is. Her research has been in vain. Coulson wants answers and the duo visit the victim's apartment to get some. The woman was not a random victim, she was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent that had also been drawing the alien symbols. Meanwhile, May and the others tracked Ward down but he manages to get away on several occasions. Simmons performs an autopsy and discovers that both the victim and her killer had GH.325 in their blood. Because they were dealing with T.A.H.I.T.I. patients, Coulson decides to use a memory machine to torture any information out of him. Via flashbacks we learn there were six volunteers in the program. At first the trials seemed to be working fine, but soon the patients became unstable. Coulson sees the killer in his flashback, he was the only patient that carved the glyphs on his body. Coulson visits the only other GH trial survivor, but the killer had already arrived first. Ultimately, both Coulson and the murderer are "enlightened" when they set eyes upon a 3D model of the mysterious alien map. Now that he realizes it's a city map, the compulsion to carve is gone. Coulson and the others are cured. Elsewhere, Ward meets with HYDRA. The meeting does not goes as expected because not only does he kill all the HYDRA agents, but he delivers Sunil Bakshi to Coulson as a gift. Ward contacts Skye via Bakshi's phone and informs her he will be delivering more gifts in the future.
