Recap

And we're down to 75!

A handful of singers got the boot during round two of Hollywood auditions, which featured crazy cat fights and simply crazy people trying to work in groups.

We'd prefer to focus on those that were actually impressive. They included:

- Danny Gokey, Jamar Rogers and Taylor Vaifanua, who worked up a rousing arrangement of Queen's "Somebody to Love."

- Adam Lambert, Jeremy Michael Sarver, Matt Brietzke and Jesse Langseth came up with a version of "Some Kind of Wonderful" that gave each crooner a strong solo moment. Well done.

- Also, Nathaniel Marshall might be an emotional mess... but due can sing! We enjoyed his performance of Duffy's "Mercy," one that introduced viewers to a former Nashville Star contestant: Kristen McNamara.
