Mark Labriola: 28-year old father from Aurora, Colorado. Sang “Tempted” by Squeeze. The hopeful said he's often compared to Jack Black and didn't seem like he was taking the audition seriously. He even had a story about how his mom kidnapped him from his father. Weird... but intriguing. His solid vocals advanced to Hollywood.

Kimberly Kerbow: 24-year old from Marina Del Rey, California. She sung “I am” by Ingrid Michaelson and brought her five-year old daughter to the audition. Kerbow is a big hit when she flirtatiously sings the line “I will buy you Rogaine” at Simon. He acts insulted, but is clearly smitten. Golden ticket recipient!

Danelle Hays: 24-year old from Seattle. Auditioned with “I’m The Only One” by Melissa Ethridge. Hosts a karaoke bar and has a three-year old son. Kara is moved by this performaned and Danelle tears up when she receives approval for Hollywood.

Casey James: 27-year old from Fort Worth, Texas. Went with “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” by John Mayer and was in a bad motorcycle accident when he was 21. He overcame the prognosis that he'd never play guitar again. Says he's “willing to do anything” to move on, which includes taking his shirt off for Kara and Victoria. Can you imagine if Simon treated a female contestant this way? He moves on to Hollywood.

Haeley Vaughn: 16-year old from Fort Collins, Colorado. Wowed the judges with “Last Name” by Carrie Underwood and with her story: weighing just two pounds at birth, she was born premature. Her dad died when she was 10. Singing is her passion in life and she wants to be a black Underwood. You don't hear that often. Probably our favorite of the night.

Guess we have to mention "bikini boy" Ty Hemmerling, too. He halfheartedly shimmied and spoke/sang Billy Ray Cyrus' "Achy Breaky Heart" as the judges all got up and left. Said the moron:

"That's kind of rude. I think you should at least stay. Kara, please stay! Can I get a hug?"
