Hollywood Round 3

Episode Guide

On the night prior to learning their American Idol fate - will they make the cut for the final 36 contestants on season eight?!? - the following competitors made the best impression on viewers...

Adam Lambert is first up. This controversial crooner is too theatrical, but he's a breath of fresh air to us. Sings "Believe" by Cher... like he owns it!

Danny Gokey picks the cheesiest song in the history of songs, Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance." Paula Abdul might as well go make out with him, she likes it so much. (Later in the evening,Ann Marie Boskovich would also impress with a version of this tune.)

Anoop Desai makes quite an impression with the Bobby Brown classic "My Prerogative." We're looking at a serious dark horse contender here.

Scott MacIntyre plays the piano. Dude is blind! Amazing.

Kristen McNamara goes with a Kelly Clarkson song. Really? That's always a dangerous move... or not. She does an incredible job with it.
