American Idol took itself to Kansas City, Missouri for the latest round of auditions. Here's who stood out the most for us:
Danny Gokey: Tragically, his wife died a month before the audition. Randy told the singer: “I think you’re one of the best we’ve seen."
Lil Rounds: A mother of three that was inspired to try out after a tornado destroyed her home. Told by Simon: “I think you’re absolutely fantastic."
Casey Carlson: Very cute, talented. “I see a package here,” new judge Kara said.
Von Smith: Over the top with his vocals, but obvious vocal chops.
Ashley Anderson: Impressed us with rendition of "Footprints in the Sand" by Leona Lewis.
