A quartet of singers made a bid to be the next American Idol on this week's stop in Louisville.
It's very early, but it wouldn't shock us if any of the following contestants - all of whom received a ticket to Hollywood, of course - made the final 12. Here's a rundown of who stood out during the show's latest stop:
Joanna Pacitti. Signed to A&M Records in 2005, then Geffen Records in 2006. She released an album that tanked and was released from her label in 2007. At the audition, she belted out “We Belong” by Pat Benetar. Many tears formed when judges voted her through to the next round.
Brent Keith Smith. Hails from Blanchester, OH. This crooner sang “Can’t Get Enough” by Bad Company. Simon initially balked, but soon gave in and all four judges approved Smith for the next round.
Felicia Barton. Cute, peppy. Went with "Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae. This hopeful is from Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Leneshe Young. Our favorite audition of the young season. Young was raised in and out of homeless shelters. Now an 18-year old from Cincinnati, she sang an original song and received the highest praise possible from Simon: he compared her to Leona Lewis.
