Recap

Trevor LeBlanc (Drew Fuller) has always been perfect, or close to it.

Now that he’s become addicted to painkillers and resorting to sneaking off post to accept a prescription from a shady doctor and takes cash only, it certainly is disconcerting.

Trevor’s been relying on over-the-counter meds to tide him over until he can get his prescription renewed by the Army. While working out, a friend refers him to the shady doctor. Just don't tell him you're Army, Trevor's friend instructs him. Don't ask, and don't tell. Definitely sketchy.

Trevor thus gets a fresh prescription for Vicodin and gets the thing filled off post. Roxie thinks everything is okay, choosing to believe that Trevor really did spill his pills down the drain.

She’s got her hands full with her GED. Roxy studies to take her GED but when she goes for the test she panics. Her pencil breaks and after seeing that everyone seems to be flying through the test, she walks out.

Then while at home, she finds some cards that her boys made for her with the intention of giving them to her after she passes her exam.

Roxy feels like she let them down for not going through with the test and eventually retakes it - and aces it! The family later celebrates.

Things aren’t so happy for Denise, meanwhile, as she is grieving over Getti but can’t share her grief with Frank because she doesn’t want him to know how close she was with him.

It doesn’t help that Getti’s father asks Denise to have coffee with him and tells her that Getti was in love with her.

Frank is not lost, though, and knows something was up, telling Denise that he saw her kissing Getti’s hand. Denise eventually admits to Frank how far things went with Getti, including that she kissed him.

He storms off and heads to a bar where he findsMichael, telling Michael he wants to go back to Iraq and admits that things aren’t going so well at home. Michael recommends that Frank finish out his leave.

In the end, Frank (Terry Serpico) decides to stay and see if he and Denise can work out the whole Getti issue. Denise suggests they try some kind of counseling.

Claudia Joy’s mom (guest star Marsha Mason) comes to visit unexpectedly. She is the type of mom who makes passive-aggressive comments and that put Claudia Joy on edge as she prepares for the visit.

It surprises Claudia Joy that her mom is coming, but she eventually learns that her mother is leaving her father because he has a gambling addiction problem and he’s squandered all of their money.

As if Claudia Joy doesn’t have enough to deal with in being the shoulder to cry on for all of her friends (she is always there whenever there is a crisis), now she’ll have to help her parents.

Roland is counseling Jake, whose dad died in action. Jake inherited money from the Army and it's clear he’s dealing with his grief by spending it frivolously. Jake buys Roland a watch worth $10,000.

Roland pays his mother a visit, and it turns out Jake’s mother is the root of her son’s problems. She’s going through her own grief due to guilt over having convinced her husband to re-enlist rather than retire early.

Every time Jake brings up his dad, she gives him money.

It’s only after Jake gets arrested for drinking that all of this comes out and Roland manages to set them on the right path so that they can get through this difficult time together.
