Confirmed: Full Arrested Development Cast Returning for Netflix Run

The return to television has already been booked for Arrested Development, but writer Dean Lorey took to his blog yesterday to confirm the incredible news:

The beloved sitcom's full cast will return for episodes on Netflix in 2013.

"We're really doing this thing," Lorey wrote. "Mitch Hurwitz, Jim Vallely and I are off writing the new season of 'Arrested... The original cast is back. There are offices and parking spaces. We’re shooting this year. I wish I could give more specifics but, for the moment, even the schedule is being kept under wraps."

The revival of the series was first announced in October, with plans to dedicate each episode to a different character - in order to catch the audience up with him/her - and then, somewhere down the line, for these installments to lead into a movie that features all members of the Bluth family.

Needless to say, we cannot wait. But, because we must, catch up with the show now in our Arrested Development quotes section.

Arrested Development Books Return on Netflix

Heeeeey, readers: Break out your frozen bananas and paint your face blue, Arrested Development fans. This show really is coming back.

Netflix has reached a deal with our favorite all-time sitcom to license new episodes, starting in early 2013. Not many details are available at the moment, but 20th Century Fox has confirmed the deal.

As previously announced, this unique arrangement will lead into an eventual Arrested Development movie.

We'll have more on the entire situation once it's available, but, for now, let's exchange a virtual fist pump over the news. No touching, though. No touching!

In news more exciting than a meal full of frozen bananas, Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz confirmed today that his iconic sitcom will return for a brand new season!

The announcement was made at the New Yorker Festival, with The New York Times reporting that Hurwitz is planning a "limited Arrested Development series (9-10 eps, 1 character per ep) that would lead into [a] movie."

Look for the episodes to update viewers on what various characters have been up to. There is no official deal in place yet, but still. Do the chicken dance and visit our section of Arrested Development quotes now!

Sure, it may have been a shortened season with only thirteen episodes, four of which were aired during the finale night, but at least Fox gave us an ending to Arrested Development with its third and finale season.

During the third season we saw Michael fall in love with the gorgeous Rita, Tobias risk his life to keep a beautiful head of hair, learned that Lindsay was adopted, watched the boys head to Iraq, and saw and the fitting end to the three year long trial. Oh and a nice surprise ending where the real power behind the Bluth family lied.
