... Today, mentioning the assignment in Hawaii, Katie confides to Brad that she wishes now that she had taken it. Reminding her that he knows she's not a quitter, Brad encourages her to fight for Jack but Katie (Terri Colombino) claims that once Carly is gone, she still be with him...
... Later, her Realtor warns Katie that she's about to lose the house if she doesn't act by the end of the day. After Brad interviews writer Emily Griffin, Jack calls but Katie claims she's too busy to talk with him and hangs up....
... When Noah tells Maddie that he wants to be with her, she claims he belongs with Luke. Lily interrupts after Holden punches Dusty. He leaves the unhappy couple together and ends up on a city bench, talking with Lucinda about Luke. Dusty confides his concern for Lily because of the way Holden is treating her....
... Lucinda chases after Holden and insists that he go back to the hospital and try again with the woman he loves. Luke's physical therapist Burt enlists Lily's help in getting an apathetic and upset Luke started on his therapy. Thanks to Dusty, Noah arrives at the hospital and sees Luke....
... Holden returns in time to see Lily (Martha Byrne) hugging Dusty in thanks for bringing back Noah (Jake Silbermann). Dr. Evers calls the house but when Jack answers, Carly quickly takes the phone and agrees to come in for more tests to confirm she has an abscess, not a tumor. Jack insists on accompanying her....
... At the hospital Jack's astounded when the doctor states that Carly's not having any chemo treatments. Carly keeps Jack from finding out her true condition and clings to him as she avoids telling him how much time she has left. Jack offers to move in with her. Brad stops by the hospital and finds out Carly isn't dying...
