Though Jack is clearly jealous of the two ladies relationship, he feels it's an arrangement he can work with. The three of them will partner up and he will take his place as captain of a new crew. Flint sets his plan in motion by offering Dufresne some advice that ultimately backfires on the new captain. During the hijacking of another ship, which had seemingly surrendered, Dufresne freezes up allowing Flint his moment to shine. He informed the crew their prize was lost and, in order to strike fear into others at the site of the black sail, he ordered the vessel to be sunk. His actions restored the crew's faith in the captain and he was reinstated. Silver took a beating while taunting the crew, sharing gossip of their indiscretions in an attempt to shift the focus off himself. The plan finally paid off, even earning Silver some respect from the captain. Captain Low returned to Eleanor's place, causing quite a commotion by beheading Meeks for his traitorous actions. Eleanor's enforcer, O'Malley, stepped in but Low took him out as well. Captain Vane lingered in the background refusing to get involved. "I don't want to see you in my place again. I don't want to see you on my island again. Take your men, take your shit and seek life elsewhere" Eleanor shouted. Captain Low was pleased with himself and assured her he was having too much fun to leave. Later, Eleanor asks for Vane's help with this new pirate threatening her establishment. In exchange, she offers him Captain Low's "prize," which we know is the Ashe girl.
