Dr. Valentin Narcisse arrives in Atlantic City on this Boardwalk Empire episode with Mrs. Pastor, to ask about the whereabouts of his associate who Dunn Purnsley disposed of last week. After a sit down, Nucky offers up a percentage of the club in exchange for putting the matter behind them. Richard travels to Milwaukee for some business and returns to his sister's to find his dog dying. Van Alden is loaned out to Capone by O'Banion as extra muscle but also instructs the former agent to keep an eye on Capone's business. Nucky shakes down Mayor Bader for his cut of some new construction, but insults Eddie who threatens to resign from his post as Nucky's attendant. He also is introduced to the new agent Warren Knox by Fred Elliot. Back in Washington Elliot is questioned by a young Edgar Hoover about his involvement with Nucky and is made aware of a startling truth. Before leaving for Florida, Nucky gives Eddie a job to show he respects and trusts him. Dr. Narcisse and Mrs. Pastor part ways.
