It's Halloween once again at the Belcher home and a visit from a spooked exterminator leads Linda and the kids to believe that their basement is haunted by a ghost. Linda and the kids use a ouija board in order to communicate with the spirit, named Jeff, who they later trap in one of Linda's shoe boxes. Bob, ever the skeptic, doesn't believe any of it, but when the rumors of a ghost on his store start to bring in more business, he decides to ride the gravy train for as long as he can. At the same time, Tina starts to spend time with Jeff and finds herself falling in love with him. When Tina brings him to school, all the other classmates start to become interested in Jeff, especially the school mean girl, Tammy, who steals Jeff for herself. Eventually, Louise reveals that Jeff was just a prank that she made up. Despite that, Louise and Gene decide to stand up for Tina and they head to the local graveyard to get revenge against Tammy and the other schoolmates. What they don't realize is that Tina had some tricks up her sleeves as well.
