-Megan seizes the body of Nicki Parkson just before her funeral after viewing suspicious pictures of it online. Nicki suffered from a genetic disease. The family thought they were covering up her suicide but Nicki was murdered.

-Nicki's mother, Lillian was withholding medication because her sick daughter garnered her so much sympathy.

-Ethan finds traces of both Nicki's sister, Sara and her boyfriend, Shane's DNA under her toe nails.

-Nicki was going to change the charity in her will from one that Sara ran to one that would do research on her disease. Sara was angry she wouldn't get Nicki's money and she and Shane killed Nicki before she could change the will.

-Megan has Lillian arrested at Nicki's funeral for withholding her medication.

-Megan finds out that her ex, Todd is having an affair with her boss, Kate. The only person who seems to understand why this is hard for Megan to deal with is daughter Lacy.
