When Detective Esposito approaches a person of interest in a murder investigation, the last thing he expects is for the man to take an entire subway car hostage but that's exactly what happens in "Kill Switch"

As Esposito and a Transit cop try to talk Jared Stone out of blowing up the subway car with all of the passengers inside, Everyone at the 12th watches the scene unfold on the video supplied by a camera on the subway. Unfortunately, just as the Hostage Response Team is about to breach the car, Jared spies the camera and shoots it. Esposito and the transit cop have to take matters into their own hands to disarm Jared and secure the bomb but their troubles are far from over as Jared has been infected with a deadly flu virus and may have spread it to everyone on board the train. Will Castle and Beckett be able to figure out Jared's true motive for putting so many lives in danger? Will Esposito and the rest of the passengers end up being infected? Will Lanie ever get the chance to see Javier again?
