Analysis of Cork-Based Networking
-Annie is leading a planning committee to prepare for the midterm dance.
-She asks Buzz Hickey to hang a bulletin board in the cafeteria.
-Hickey encounter resistance from the janitorial staff about hanging the board, so Annie dumps the rest of the planning duties on the study group, and joins Hickey in trying to talk to the janitors.
-Annie also encounters resistance from the janitors, so she and Hickey decide to go over their heads, and talk to the custodial department.
-As Annie and Hickey go from the custodial department to the IT department to the parking department, they find that everyone wants to cut deals and get bribes.
-Annie and Hickey agree to the first few deals, but Hickey decides that the head of the parking department has gone too far, as he wants to control all bulletin boards on campus so that he can eliminate carpooling.
-Annie and HIckey split up.
-The rest of the study hall group first decorates the dance with a "bear" theme--only to be told that there was a bear mauling earlier that day, and that it is too soon for bear decorations.
-The study hall responds by turning the bears they have drawn into dogs, and giving the dance a dog theme.
-Hickey is inspired to take a bulletin board from home, and hang it on the wall himself during the midterm dance.
-Britta attempts to ruin the ending of a fantasy book for Abed, and bribes a deaf woman to gain his trust and then spoli the ending for him.
-Abed re-unites with Rachel (Brie Larson), his love interest from Community Season 4's dance.
