Widener threatens Meg's life if Dunn doesn't turn Jonas Clarenbach over to him, while Gibson threatens the kids if Clarenbach isn't given to him. Dunn and Finley split up to try to beat both of them.

Clarenbach tells the agents that Gibson is the kidnapper. He looks over the FBI file and realizes where the kids are being held. He agrees to take Finley there. One of the parents goes after Clarenbach and Finley his own military force.

Finley gives up their location to Widener in hopes of pitting the two battling sides against each other. It works at first, but Gibson ends up with Clarenbach.

Aaron, the teacher, is stabbed while trying to protect Amber when they tried to escape.

Amber remains important to Gibson's plans.
