A woman who runs a hotel is murdered and then stuffed into a washer. Sherlock and Watson investigate the case and discover that she and her husband were Russian spies pretending to be American citizens. Their daughter confesses to the murder having accidentally killed her but it turns out that their handler was the one who finished the killing. The father and daughter get to start a new life. Sherlock tries to offer Watson a proposal to stay around but Watson takes another job.
