Major FlashForward Spoiler: The Series Premiere Conclusion

The basic premise of FlashForward is known by most TV fans at this point:

Simultaneously, the world's population goes unconscious and each individual flashes forward to the date April 29, 2010. Some see themselves as pregnant; others see nothing at all and fear that they are dead.

After two minutes and 17 seconds, everyone wakes up and wonders the same thing: WTF?!?

FBI agent Mark Benford even puts together The Mosaic Collective, his attempt to piece together what the heck is going on. For his sake, let's hope Mark tunes in to the conclusion of the September 24 series premiere.

Consider yourself warned, as we're about to reveal a major piece to the FlashForward puzzle:

  • At the end of "No More Good Days," security camera footage is shown of the moment when the world blacks out. Everyone on the planet appears to drop like a fly at the same time... except for a mysterious man in black, who is shown walking around strewn bodies at a stadium in Detroit.

What does this mean? Who is that man? Like the rest of us, you'll need to tune in to FlashForward this fall and find out.

FlashForward Premiere Spoilers: Near Suicides, Friendship Bracelets and More!

We've seen the pilot episode of FlashForward.

The first 20 minutes are a bit muddled, but have patience. Events come together in the second half and the conclusion leaves one counting the days until episode two.

Flash Forward Scene

Read on for a few series premiere spoilers, as we reveal just what various characters actually flash forward to...

  • Aaron Stark sees his wife, alive and well. This is quite unexpected, as he thought she died in the war;
  • Zachary, a co-worker of Olivia's, is about to commit suicide in the present day - but he seems himself alive in his flash forward and decides against the act when he regains consciousness.
  • In Mark Benford's vision of the future, he's wearing a friendship bracelet. Near the end of the pilot, his daughter presents him with this piece of jewelry, confirming the accuracy of his flash forward.

FlashForward premieres on ABC on September 24. You should really watch it.

Gabrielle Union Previews Role on FlashForward

Gabrielle Union has nabbed a recurring role on ABC's FlashForward.

The beautiful actress will portray a criminal defense attorney engaged to John Cho's character, Demetri Noh. In an interview with Sci-Fi Wire, Union said the coupling of two different ethnicities is deliberate.

"The cultural differences with our families, not only blending families in the middle of a recession but blending families that come from different cultures and races and backgrounds, will definitely be explored," Union said

In the FlashForward series premiere, which airs on September 24, one flash forward saves a character from suicide; while others see themselves somehow pregnant and/or sleeping with a strange man.

As for Union's character? The actress won't reveal what her future supposedly holds, but:

"It's life-affirming, that's for sure," she said.

Producer Reveals More About Dominic Monaghan on Flash Forward

Dominic Monaghan is confirmed for Flash Forward. His character is named Simon.

But that's not all we know about him. Producer Marc Guggenheim revealed a great deal more about Monaghan's role in an interview with E! News this week. He said:

"Simon is the smartest man in the world, and he definitely knows it. He's mysterious, but not just for story reasons. He's a mysterious kind of person. He's someone that's so intelligent that he has a difficult time interfacing with people on a human level, because he's just so much smarter than them. He's an enigmatic figure whom I hope you'll want to get to know over the course of the first season."

Extended Promo for FlashForward: Behind the Scenes

The mere concept of FlashForward makes it one of ABC's most highly-anticipated new shows:

For two minutes and 17 seconds, everyone on the planet blacks out. They have visions of their lives six months into the future; then they wake up and must determine what the heck happened, as well as what is about to happen.

Pretty cool, no?

If you're not sold on the premise, however, consider the show's pedigree: it's written and produced by David Goyer, the man that penned what many consider to be one of the best movies of all-time, The Dark Knight.

In the following extended promo, Goyer takes viewers behind the scenes of FlashForward:
