CBS Cancels Without a Trace, Renews How I Met Your Mother

CBS had some pretty major announcements to make today. First, the network decided to cancel the long-running Without A Trace.

In more positive procedural crime drama news, the eye network renewed Numb3rs because it was less expensive to produce. Got to love this economy.

Sitcom fans can rejoice that How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement, The New Adventures of Old Christine and the always consistently mediocre Gary Unmarried have all been renewed.

In last night's Gary Unmarried, Gary's bowling team made it to the finals but he was forced to make a last minute substitution when one of his team members quit.

In typical Gary Unmarried fashion, that replacement ended up being his ex-wife, Allison. While the main plot was completely predictable, the highlight of the episode was Tom star-crossed love with Gary's rival's daughter, Ella.

Last night's episode of Gary Unmarried was a hilarious half hour that featured special guest star Matthew Lillard as Allison's brother, Taylor. When Gary's painting company gets auditted, he's forced to call upon Taylor who's a financial whiz to help him get out of trouble.
