On Girls Season 4 Episode 4, Hannah gives some serious thought as to whether or not Iowa was the right decision for her.

She has major writer's block. Meanwhile Elijah is still thriving and doing photo articles. Hannah ends up writing an "apology" letter to her class, which is really just a defensive letter about what happened at the poet party. Hannah gets torn apart in class and talks to her teacher. Her teacher mentions that Iowa is really specific place for a really specific writer.

Hannah's dad visits and he tells her how her mother almost wrote a book. They discuss whether Iowa is right for her. He mentions that sometimes the stupidest decisions end up being the right ones.

Hannah ends up leaving and returning to NYC. When she gets to her apartment, guest star Gillian Jacobs answers the door. Adam gives her a stiff hug and Hannah realizes that Adam has a new girlfriend.

Marnie and Desi write a new song. He breaks up with Clementine and tells Marnie he loves her.

Shoshanna is having no luck getting a job. She has been on bunch of interviews and is having no success. She and Ray spend a day doing errands and bond.
