Kristin Chenoweth returned as April this week and was actually featured in three songs. Will stumbled upon her by accident when he went to a roller rink to see if he could use it as the new practice home for New Directions (Sue had booked the school auditorium all week for the Cheerios).

April had gotten with a rich strip mall tycoon who gave her the job of running the musical roller rink. She got quite excited when she heard about Will's divorce and offered to sublet his apartment as he looks for a smaller one. But first she had to check it out. And spend the night. This led to a long, beautiful duet, but no funny business, don't worry.

Back at school, Mercedes had a problem: Sue was forcing her to lose 10 pounds in a week or be kicked off the Cheerios. Finally anxious to fit in somewhere, Mercedes tried, but ended up passing out when she tried to not eat anything except Sue's cleanse. Quinn came to the rescue, however, bonding with Mercedes in a nice moment that saw the expecting mother open up about her weight issues as a cheerleader.

This led Mercedes to sing a rendition of "Beautiful" in front of the school. It took place in front of a reporter doing a story on Sue, who told her she was revolutioning the cheerleading world by having her squad take such a stance. Sue didn't encourage Mercedes bold song, of course, but still took credit for it.

Kurt, meanwhile, had issues. He had set up his dad and Finn's mom and the two had actually fallen in love. But Kurt got very upset when he saw his dad bonding with Finn over sports. This was something missing in their relationship. Finn also wasn't pleased with the set up because he didn't want his mom to move on from his late dad.

However, Kurt's father gave Finn a great speech about how Finn's dad will always be a hero and he just wants to make Finn's mom happy. These two ended up watching a basketball game together, much to Kurt's chargin.

The episode closed with another number from April, as she said her rich lover died and left her $2 million. She used soem of it to actually purchase the school auditorium and, backed up by New Directions, she sang "Home" to end the show.
