Joel follows Wade around for inspriation but when he makes an enemy, Joel will have to pay the price. Eventually, after a not-so-macho pep talk from Zoe, Joel goes and punches a man in the face.

All the while, Joel and Zoe buy a house that is a "fixer upper" but have a hard time finding someone to fix it for them. When Brick offers her a deal to be partner again, Zoe accepts with the conditions she will have to get the town back in shape.

After a makeup with Lavon for breaking Lynly's heart, George runs to Tansy - kisses her, and confesses they should go out again.

In the end, Lavon broke Annabeth's heart because she was not the love of his life. Annabeth wanted to get married but Lavon did not.
