Recap

This week’s episode opened with Steve and his team watching the local football team play a championship game. During the game Danny noticed two men with guns heading to the field. Just as Steve and the rest of the team reached the field shots were fired. The man Danny had seen and another man were dead.

The shooting turned out to be a feud between two gangs, the Triads and the Samoans. Steve and his team tracked down information on each of the gangs while Chin Ho tracked down one of the men that left the shooting. Chin Ho arrested the man named Sid who turned out to not only be an undercover cop but Chin Ho and Kono’s cousin.

Once Steve and Danny had found that the Samoans were working under the direction of a New Jersey crime boss that Danny was familiar with, Sid arranged to get them into an illegal casino that the crime boss was going to be at.

While at the Casino the crime boss figured out that Sid had let two people in that didn’t check out and took Sid behind the pool house. Steve, Danny, and Kono headed around to try and rescue Sid. During the gun fight that broke out just as the crime boss was going to shoot Sid, Chin Ho shot the crime boss and saved Sid’s life.

When all was said and done, Sid was treated as a hero on the police force. Kono and Chin Ho were watching film footage of Steve playing high school football. Steve was wearing the number “50” which he explained was really “five O,” and had been something his dad had called them since they were not native to Hawaii but were part of the fiftieth state. Kono decided she really like the name.

Thick crust. Extra bullets, please.

Danny [after seeing the markings of a gun in a pizza box]

Danny: Okay. All right. What's that look?
Steve: What look?
Danny: The look. The look you give me when you don't tell me what you're thinking and the next think I know I'm getting shot at.
