Jennifer Grey guest-starred on this episode as the mother of a newborn... who was born with skin cancer because this woman somehow had both that AND lung cancer.

Turns out, the lung cancer was actually helping her fight off the skin cancer, which meant her blood also helped her baby do the same. But the two diseases were also killing the mother. Still, she chose to postpone surgery in order to keep giving her child blood, a decision that ultimately killed her - but saved her baby's life.

- Wilson and House were placed in charge of Rachel, but thought they messed up and left her alone, causing her to eat a dime. There was an ensuing attempt at a diagnosis and the usual hijinks between the pair, as they tried to keep the accident from Cuddy. In the end, they realized Rachel never swallowed the dime... although the last scene involved Cuddy, off-screen, changing her daughter's diaper and finding a dime. We hear Rachel say, over the intercom, "House."

- Taub was also placed in charge of finding the team a female doctor. But the woman he selected actually turned down the gig because she thought he handled it in immature manner, stooping to House's level and not standing up for himself in the face of games being played at his expense.
