Robin can't stop crying because her mom is not coming to the wedding. Barney accepts the challenge of trying to cheer her up reminding Lily of a challenge he could not accomplish. We flash back six months and Barney takes on a series of challenges posed to him by Robin and Lily. Ted and Marshall go to a basketball game and debate whether or not Ted is really over Robin. Ted gets a call about a new job in Chicago but turns it down. Barney hits on the mother while on a challenge, but instead of her number she gives him some good advice.
