When the rest of the group has coupled off and became boring, Barney invites his gay, black brother, James (guest star Wayne Brady) to help bring back the group's energy.  However, when he finds out James is engaged to a man named Tom, Barney disapproves until he finds out they're adopting and he's going to be an uncle.
